Online healthcare platforms allow physicians and patients to communicate in a timely manner. Yet little is known about how physicians’ online offline activities affect each other and, consequently, the system. We collected data from both channels study online-offline behavior dynamics. find that can lead higher service quantity channels, whereas may reduce services because of resource constraints. also more serve, articles will likely share platforms. These findings are great importance...
Purpose The primary objective of this study was to recognize critical indicators in predicting blood glucose (BG) through data-driven methods and compare the prediction performance four tree-based ensemble models, i.e. bagging with tree regressors (bagging-decision [Bagging-DT]), AdaBoost (Adaboost-DT), random forest (RF) gradient boosting decision (GBDT). Design/methodology/approach This proposed a majority voting feature selection method by combining lasso regression Akaike information...
Mobile technologies are increasingly used to manage chronically ill patients' health status by changing their health-related behaviors. Extant research posits that patients generate negative emotions when attempting use mobile as a tool of self-management. However, various argued result in technology-related behavior, and there is limited on the interplay among different types relating agents. Employing an affective response lens, this article constructs empirical model theorizing effects...
The mechanism of the 'privacy calculus' between privacy risks and benefits has gained attention in e-government service, but there were few empirical studies. Trust reduces perceived risk as well enhances benefits. However, effects different types trust on calculus are yet undefined. Regarding above issues, we build a research model based theoretical framework 'Antecedents → Privacy Concerns Outcomes (APCO)', theories trustworthiness typology. We analyse survey data from Close Contact Query...
Purpose This study aims to investigate the impact of physician efforts in online reviews on outpatient appointments, while also examining moderating effect title. Design/methodology/approach employs heuristic-systematic model (HSM) analyze appointments. Subsequently, a fixed is employed examine research using an 89-week panel dataset (from April 16, 2018 December 29, 2019) comprising appointment and review information pertaining 8,157 physicians from prominent health community China....
To achieve fast and accurate text detection from videos, we propose an efficient coarse-to-fine scheme comprising three stages: key frame extraction, candidate line fine detection. Key frames, which are assumed to carry texts, extracted based on multi-threshold difference of color histogram (MDCH). From the lines detected by morphological operations connected component analysis. Sliding window classification is performed so as detect refined lines. We use two types features: gradients (HOG)...

In this research, we seek to understand how physicians would respond a policy change, i.e. promoting paid consultations over free services, on an online platform. We found that, contrary general expectations, physicians’ service quality increased for and decreased consultations. Our findings have important theoretical practical implications.
