Gelatin nanofibers (GNs) prepared by electrospinning were cross-linked with glutaraldehyde vapor to improve their water-resistant ability. After cross-linking treatment, the form of fibers expressed no substantial change, but average diameter increased increasing time. The swelling induced moisture during process was moderated when time reached 45 min. contact angle measurements confirmed that electrospun gelatin more hydrophilic than film (GF). Increasing did not alter properties fibers....

The purpose of this study is to develop an injectable thermoresponsive hydrogel system that can undergo sol–gel phase transition by the stimulation body temperature with improved mechanical stability and biocompatibility as a controlled drug delivery carrier for cancer therapy. Hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) was introduced into Pluronic F127 chain extender improve stability. HDI–Pluronic copolymer then incorporated hyaluronic acid nanocomposite system. physiochemical properties were...

The issue of micro-plastics is becoming more and important due to their ubiquity the harm they cause human body. Therefore, evaluating biological-physical interaction with health cells has become focus many research efforts. This study focuses on movement mode low concentration detection development for in surface plasmon resonance (SPR). Firstly, 20-micrometer were prepared by grinding filtering, was explored; then, characteristics investigated SPR. Chromatographic analysis showed that...

Abstract The Chinese herb, Gu‐Sui‐Bu (GSB) ( Drynaria fortunei J. Sm.) has been anecdotally reported to enhance bone healing. We had previously confirmed in vitro the efficacy and safety of GSB healing, showed that it influenced both osteoblast osteoclast activity. For clinically useful application these regenerative effects, a satisfactory delivery system for is required. In this study, we determined optimal concentration activity rat cells via MTT, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), nodule...

Over activation of the endothelin-1 (ET-1) system in disease states contributes to endothelial dysfunction. On other hand, ET-1 promotes proliferation and survival cells. Regulation programmed cell death (PCD) pathways is critical for survival. Recently discovered necroptosis (regulated necrosis) a pathological PCD mechanism mediated by toll like receptor 4 (TLR4), which also happens stimulate production dendritic To establish effect on human brain microvascular cells (BMVECs) under control...

AFTIR (after flowing through immobilized receptor) is a novel method for screening herbal extracts pharmaceutical properties. Using AFTIR, we identified Cynarin in Echinacea purpurea by its selective binding to chip CD28, receptor of T-cells, which instrumental immune functioning. The results surface plasma resonance show that between CD28 and stronger than the CD80, co-stimulated antigen presenting cells. Cynarin's function was verified ability downregulate CD28-dependent interleukin-2...

Bioactive glass (BG) was made by the sol–gel method and doped with boron (B) to increase its bioactivity. Microstructures of BG B-doped were observed scanning electron microscopy, phase identification performed using an X-ray diffraction diffractometer. The ion concentrations released after soaking in simulated body fluid (SBF) for 1, 4, 7 days measured inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, pH value SBF samples determine variation environment. Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis...

Proteinopathy in the heart which often manifests excessive misfolded/aggregated proteins cardiac myocytes can result severe fibrosis and failure. Here we developed a mouse model, transgenically express tetrameric DsRed, red fluorescent protein (RFP), an attempt to mimic pathological mechanisms ofcardiac fibrosis. Whilst DsRed is expressed forms aggregation most organs, certain defects are specifically recapitulated muscle cells including mitochondria damages, aggresome-like residual bodies,...

High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) under magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) guidance can achieve a noninvasive and precise ablation of the solid tumor. In study, an MRI-compatible 1-MHz 16-channel ring-shaped transducer was developed to minimize burn risk breast skin perform volumetric for short treatment time. The measured electroacoustic conversion efficiency 50.90% ± 5. could produce point quasi-hollow-cylinder lesion in thermal-sensitive phantom or ex vivo pork by tuning phase each...

Background/aim: Drynaria fortunei (Gusuibu; GSB) is a popular traditional Chinese medicine used for bone repair. An increasing number of studies have reported that GSB induces osteogenic differentiation in marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs). These results provide insight into the application tissue engineering techniques to repair large defects. However, few described molecular mechanisms GSB.Materials and methods: In present study, effects naringin, marker compound, on binding BMP-2 BMPR...
