Graphene has emerged as a material with vast variety of applications. The electronic, optical and mechanical properties graphene are strongly influenced by the number layers present in sample. As result, dimensional characterization films is crucial, especially continued development new synthesis methods A techniques exist to determine thickness including contrast, Raman scattering scanning probe microscopy techniques. Atomic force (AFM), particular, used extensively since it provides...
Structure and morphology play a critical role in determining the performance of organic photovoltaic devices. In this paper, variation postannealing cooling rate is used to create series "snapshots" vertical interfacial reorganization processes that occur upon annealing. The data show slower rates result significantly enhanced device efficiencies primarily driven by increased short circuit current fill factor. UV−vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), near-edge absorption fine structure...
Study Type – Diagnostic (validating cohort) Level of Evidence 1b What’s known on the subject? and What does study add? Scientists have found a number genetic factors that increase prostate cancer risk, including heritable mutations in genes BRCA1 BRCA2 . These are not common but can major impact, as mutation increases risk by up to seven‐fold while is thought double men under 65. The IMPACT aims determine whether targeted screening with or would lead earlier diagnosis cancers. This data from...
Water-processable nanoparticle dispersions of semiconducting polymers offer an attractive approach to the fabrication organic electronic devices since they offer: (1) control nanoscale morphology and (2) environmentally friendly fabrication. Although nature phase segregation in these polymer nanoparticles is critical device performance, date there have been no techniques available directly determine their intra-particle structure, which consequently has poorly understood. Here, we present...
Electrodes fabricated using commercially available silver nanowires (AgNWs) and single walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) produced sheet resistances in the range 4–24 Ω □−1 with specular transparencies up to 82 %. Increasing aqueous dispersibility of SWCNTs decreased bundle size present film resulting improved SWCNT surface dispersion films without compromising transparency or resistance. In addition providing conduction pathways between AgNW network, also provide structural support, creating...
Abstract Aim: To investigate trends in bladder cancer incidence, mortality and survival, cancer–control implications. Methods: South Australian Registry data were used to calculate age‐standardized incidence rates from 1980 2004. Sociodemographic predictors of invasive as opposed situ disease examined. Determinants disease‐specific survival investigated using Kaplan–Meier estimates proportional hazards regression. Results: Incidence for cancers decreased by 21% between 1980–84 2000–04,...
Highly conductive, transparent and flexible planar electrodes were fabricated using interwoven silver nanowires single-walled carbon nanotubes (AgNW:SWCNT) in a PEDOT:PSS matrix via an epoxy transfer method from silicon template. The achieved sheet resistance of 6.6 ± 0.0 Ω/□ average transmission 86% between 400 800 nm.A high figure merit 367 Ω -1 is reported for the electrodes, which much higher than that measured indium tin oxide other AgNW composites. The AgNW:SWCNT: electrode was used to...
Conductive atomic force microscopy (C-AFM) is used to characterise the nanoscale electrical properties of many conducting and semiconducting materials. We investigate effect single walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) modification commercial Pt/Ir cantilevers on sensitivity image stability during C-AFM imaging. were modified with small bundles SWCNTs via a manual attachment procedure secured conductive platinum pad. AFM images topography current collected from heterogeneous polymer nanomaterial...

A high throughput process is reported for the production of a highly conductive, transparent planar electrode comprising silver nanowires and single walled carbon nanotubes imbedded into PEDOT:PSS.
Flexible MoO3/silver nanowire (AgNW)/MoO3/TiO2/Epoxy electrodes with comparable performance to ITO were fabricated by a scalable solution-processed method lamination assistance for transparent and conductive applications. Silver nanoparticle-based also prepared comparison. Using simple spin-coating lamination-assisted planarization method, full solution-based approach allows preparation of AgNW-based composite at temperatures as low 140 °C. The resulting flexible exhibit higher transmittance...
Metallic thin films have been evaluated as adhesive layers for first surface mirrors. Thin (0.5–4 nm thick) of Cr, Cu, Ge, Sn, and Ni, capped with an over layer 100 Ag deposited by means ion assisted electron beam evaporation onto glass substrates. The specular reflectance, conductivity, morphology, adhesion, abrasion resistance the mirrors assessed compared. This work demonstrates superior Ni Ge adhesion to films, while Cr again are best candidates in terms reflectance enhancement. In...
Water-based nanoparticulate (NP) and bulk heterojunction (BHJ) organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices based on blends of poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-N,N-bis(4-butylphenyl)-N,Ndiphenyl-1,4-phenylenediamine) (PFB) poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-benzothiadiazole (F8BT) have been fabricated with aluminium calcium/aluminium cathodes. The NP exhibit power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) that are double the corresponding BHJ device. Moreover, addition calcium into cathode structure results in a dramatic...

Nanoparticulate suspensions of semiconducting polymer poly‐3‐hexylthiophene (P3HT) have been prepared in water through a mini‐emulsion process using sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) as the surfactant. Using these suspensions, we fabricated organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) top gate configuration. These devices operate at low voltage and show output characteristics similar to those achieved when P3HT is spun from chloroform. To characterize properties made nanoparticle suspension,...
