Arginine is a semi‐essential amino acid that plays key role in cell survival and proliferation normal malignant cells. BCT‐100, pegylated (PEG) recombinant human arginase, can deplete arginine starve cells of the acid. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) most common cancer childhood, yet for patients with high risk or relapsed disease prognosis remains poor. We show BCT‐100 cytotoxic to ALL blasts from vitro by necrosis, synergistic combination dexamethasone. Against xenografts, leads...
Abstract Central nervous system (CNS) involvement remains a challenge in the diagnosis and treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). In this study, we identify CD79a (also known as Igα), signaling component preB cell receptor (preBCR), to be associated with CNS-infiltration –relapse B-cell precursor (BCP)-ALL patients. Furthermore, show that downregulation hampers engraftment cells different murine xenograft models, particularly CNS.
It has been shown that it is possible to predict the CD 34+ hematopoietic progenitor cell dose from collection procedures on TerumoBCT COBE Spectra® separator platform using simple variables available at start of procedure. In this article, we demonstrate can be done simply and reliably Spectra Optia® (“Optia”) with a very close correlation between predicted actual results (correlation coefficient 0.956). This knowledge used optimize apheresis sessions minimize harmful effects costs....
Aim To detect novel markers for specific detection and eradication of B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) cells in the CNS. Methods: RNA-sequencing with patient derived xenograft (PDX) BCP-ALL recovered from CNS versus bone marrow (BM) NSG-mice was conducted. In vivo engraftment after knockdown (KD) antibody (AB)-targeting candidate molecules CD79a/b investigated. levels were measured samples associated clinical parameters. Results: significantly upregulated PDX BM. KD...
