ABSTRACT The etiologic mechanisms of post-acute medical morbidities and unexplained symptoms (Long COVID) following SARS-CoV-2 infection are incompletely understood. We study numerically the outcome of phase separation instability a dual-species Bose-Einstein condensate in an optical lattice. When only one excitation mode is unstable bound pair bright and dark solitonlike structures periodically appears disappears, whereas for more than persistent soliton-antisoliton develops. The oscillating soliton represents regime where two-species neither remains phase-separated nor dynamically stable.

Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) myocardial perfusion imaging remains a critical tool in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. However, after more than three decades use, detection efficiency poor and unchanged. This is due to continued reliance on parallel-hole collimators first introduced 1964. These possess geometric efficiency. Here we present performance evaluation results newly designed multipinhole collimator with 20 pinhole apertures (PH20) for commercial SPECT...

Several new technologies for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) instrumentation with parallel-hole collimation have been proposed to improve detector sensitivity and signal collection efficiency. Benefits from improved efficiency include shorter acquisition times lower dose requirements. In this paper, the authors show a possibility of over an order magnitude enhancement in detection (from 7.6 × 10(-5) 1.6 10(-3)) dopamine transporter (DaT) imaging striatum conventional SPECT...

Myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) using slow rotating large field of view cameras requires spatiotemporal reconstruction dynamically acquired data to capture the time variation radiotracer concentration. In vivo, MPI contains additional degrees freedom involving unavoidable motion heart due quasiperiodic beating and effects respiration, which can severely degrade quality images. This work develops a technique for single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) that reconstructs...
