본 연구는 대학 신입생들의 우울, 불안 및 신체증상에 대한 확인과 이에 영향을 미치는 대학생활 특성을 규명하기 위한 목적으로 시행된 서술적 조사연구이다. H대학에 진학 중인 300명의 신입생들을 대상으로 2013년 4월 22일부터 26일까지 구조화된 질문지를 이용하여 진행되었으며, 수집된 자료는 t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, multiple regression을 통해 분석되었다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 점수가능범위 1~5점 중 우울 2.33점, 1.94점, 신체건강 1.63점으로 나타났으며, 여학생일수록, 지각된 자아존중감이 낮을수록 불안, 그리고 신체증상 점수가 높았다. 둘째, 특성은 우울을 46.1%, 불안을 26.3% 설명하고 있었으며, 특성과 불안은 신체건강을 35.8% 있었다. 결과가 정신 신체건강의 중요성에 이해를 높일뿐만 아니라, 신체증상으로 인한 건강문제 발생을 예측하고...
