Four types of algae—Porphyra umbilicalis, Undaria pinnatifida, Cystoseira barbata, and Chlorella sp.—were used to obtain crude bioproducts enriched in polysaccharides (four bioproducts) create formulations with gold cations bioproducts). The obtained through aqueous extraction from barbata exhibited significant antioxidant activities a total polyphenol content (714.17 ± 1.26) mg GAE/L. In the derived extract Porphyra umbilicalis combined ions, nanoparticles sizes less than 34 nm were formed....

Finding innovative solutions to improve the lives of people affected by trauma, bone disease, or aging continues be a challenge worldwide. Tissue engineering is most rapidly growing area in domain biomaterials. Cerium-containing MBG-derived biomaterials scaffolds were synthesized using polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) as sacrificial template. The obtained characterized X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Ce4+/Ce3+ ratio was...

In this study, three types of extracts isolated from leaves Plantain (Plantago lanceolata) were tested for their chemical content and biological activities. The bioproducts are combinations polysaccharides polyphenols (flavonoids iridoidic compounds), they antioxidant, antifungal, antitumor, prebiotic activity (particularly fraction). Briefly, the iridoid-enriched fraction has revealed a pro-oxidant activity, while flavonoid-enriched had high antioxidant potency; polysaccharide also...

2′-(1-Imidazolyl)-4-methylphenol (C−N bonding in the ortho′ position at phenyl group), a model compound for tyrosine-histidine covalent linkage, was studied with combined electrochemical and UV−vis/IR spectroscopic approach. Electrochemical analysis of 2′-(1-imidazolyl)-4-methylphenol by means cyclic voltammetry yielded potential 0.48 vs ferrocene (1.15 V NHE) oxidation deprotonated form, reaction being kinetically irreversible. A tentative assignment electrochemically induced Fourier...

4′-Azulenyl-substituted terpyridines were efficiently synthesized following the Kröhnke methodology via azulenylchalcone intermediates. These azulenyl-containing showed fluorescent emission with a fluorescence quantum yield varying from 0.14, in case of parent terpyridine, to 0.64 when methyl groups are grafted on azulenyl seven-membered ring. According crystal structures and TDDFT calculations, different twisting aromatic constituents is responsible for observed behavior. The...
