Abstract Heteronuclear cationic complexes, [LCuLn] 3+ and [(LCu) 2 Ln] , were employed as nodes in designing high‐nuclearity complexes coordination polymers with a rich variety of network topologies (L is the dianion Schiff base resulting from 2:1 condensation 3‐methoxysalycilaldehyde 1,3‐propanediamine). Two families linkers have been chosen: first consists exo ‐dentate ligands bearing nitrogen‐donor atoms (bipyridine (bipy), dicyanamido (dca)), whereas second oxygen‐donor (anions derived...
A trianionic ligand H3L (2-hydroxy-N-(2-{[(2-hydroxyphenyl)methylene]amino}-2-methylpropyl)benzamide) with an inner N2O2 coordination site and oxygen atom coming from amide function not involved in this yields monoanionic LCu− complexes that react Ln(hfa)3·2H2O (hfa = hexafluoroacetylacetonato ligand) to give dinuclear Cu–Ln self-assemble into tetranuclear species, as demonstrated by the structural determination of [LCuDy(hfa)2(dmf)2]2 complex. High-spin species are then isolated for two...
