Abstract Objectives Tanshinone I (Tan‐I) is one of the vital fatsoluble monomer components, which extracted from Chinese medicinal herb Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge. It has been shown that Tan‐I exhibited anti‐tumour activities on different types cancers. However, underlying mechanisms by Tan‐Ⅰ regulates apoptosis and autophagy in ovarian cancer remain unclear. Thus, this study aimed to access therapy effect mechanisms. Methods Ovarian cells A2780 ID‐8 were treated with concentrations (0, 1.2,...
A proteomic study, using two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight/time-of-flight, was conducted in apple fruit (cv. 'Golden Delicious') starting at 10 days prior to harvest through 50 storage. Total protein extracted a phenol/sodium dodecyl sulfate protocol. More than 400 spots were detected each 55 differentially expressed proteins (p<0.05) subjected time-of-flight/time-of-flight analysis. Fifty-three of these finally...
Abstract In the present study, we investigated effects of tetramethylpyrazine (TMP) on hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O )‐induced apoptosis in PC12 cells. The H ‐induced cells was accompanied by a decrease Bcl‐2/Bax protein ratio, release cytochrome c to cytosol and activation caspase‐3. TMP not only suppressed down‐regulation Bcl‐2, up‐regulation Bax mitochondrial cytosol, but also attenuated caspase‐3 eventually protected against apoptosis. These results indicated that blocked regulation Bcl‐2...
Summary A novel dimorphic fungus, Emergomyces orientalis sp. nov. a close relative of systemic pathogens in the family Ajellomycetaceae ( Blastomyces, Histoplasma ). The fungus is reported 64‐year‐old male from Shanxi, China. patient developed disseminated skin lesions, productive cough with fever and showed nodular opacities his left lung on chest radiography. had no identified cause immunodeficiency apart type‐2 diabetes mellitus. Clinical, histopathological mycological characteristics...
In this study, a method using natural deep eutectic solvents (NADES) combined with microwave-assistance extraction (MAE) was researched for the first time to establish an environmentally-friendly extracting ferulic acid from Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort. 20 kinds of NADES were initially screened, then response surface methodology performed optimize NADES-MAE in L. c on basis results single-factor experiments. The demonstrated that could provide better yields than conventional solvents, and...
Abstract Objectives Aristolochic acid (AA) nephropathy, first reported as Chinese herbs is a rapidly progressive tubulointerstitial nephropathy that results in severe anemia, interstitial fibrosis and end-stage renal disease. Tubulointerstitial injury was studied rat model of AA to determine whether ergosta-4,6,8(14),22-tetraen-3-one (ergone) treatment prevents early rats with aristolochic I-induced nephropathy. Methods Early via induced by administration I (AAI) solution intragastrically...
Aristolochic acids and their derivatives are components of many traditional medicines that have been used for thousands years, particularly in Asian countries. To study the trends research into aristolochic provide suggestions future study, we performed following work. In this paper, a bibliometric analysis using CiteSpace HistCite software. We reviewed three phases development by bibliometrics. addition, longitudinal review published articles over 60 years: 1,217 189 on history acid between...
Treatments with abiotic elicitors can efficiently induce the accumulation of specialized metabolites in plants. We used a combined omics approach to analyze elicitation effects MeJa, AgNO 3 , and PEG on camptothecin (CPT) biosynthesis Camptotheca acuminata plantlets. Untargeted analyses revealed that treatments significantly inhibited photosynthetic pathway promoted carbon metabolism secondary metabolic pathways. The CPT levels increased by 78.6, 73.3, 50.0% treatment groups, respectively....
Tanshinone IIA is a lipid-soluble pharmacologically active compound extracted from the rhizome of Chinese herb Salvia miltiorrhiza, well-known traditional medicine used for treatment cardiovascular disorders. Previous studies have identified that tanshinone inhibited overexpression miR-1 in hypoxic neonatal cardiomyocytes. This study was designed to examine effects on miR-133 expression under condition. Neonatal rat cardiomyocytes were cultured environment (2% O2+93% N2+5% CO2) at 37°C 24...
