In this study we developed a method for the pyridine-directed, rhodium-catalyzed, site-selective C–H alkylation and arylation of pyridones using commercially available trifluoroborate reagents. This simple versatile transformation proceeded smoothly under relatively mild conditions with perfect site selectivity. The coupling groups in boron reagents can be extended to primary alkyl, benzyl, cycloalkyl. Moreover, direct products could also obtained similar conditions.

Polymer solar cells (PSCs) processed from non-halogenated solvents are favorable for large scale production. However, the photovoltaic performance of devices is generally inferior to that counterparts halogenated solvents. Herein, we report utilization 5-alkyl-4-(methylthio)thiophene (MTT) as a conjugated side chain polymeric donor achieve efficient PSCs toluene. The derived polymer PMTT56 exhibits lower energy levels than 5-alkyl-4-methoxythiophene (MOT) counterpart (PMOT39) and...

Antireflection and superhydrophilicity performance are desirable for improving the properties of electronic devices. Here, we experimentally provide a strategy femtosecond laser preparation to create micro-nanostructures on graphite surface in an air environment. The modified is covered with abundant micro-nano structures, its average reflectance measured be 2.7% ultraviolet, visible near-infrared regions (250 2250 nm). wettability transformation from hydrophilicity realized. Organoboron compounds are important building blocks to create molecular diversity.Strategies that can transform the readily available hydrocarbons into these by C-H borylation highly attractive. In this context, significant progress has been made towards iridium-catalyzed borylation.Because substituted arenes typically contain ortho-, metaand para-C-H bonds, regiocontrol a long-standing challenge within type of chemistry.During past decade, in ortho-selective borylation, while...
