A new mononuclear Cu(II) complex, [Cu(L)2]·CH3OH·H2O, has been synthesized by the complexation of copper(II) acetate monohydrate with a oxime-type ligand (HL = 1-(4-{[(E)-3-ethoxyl-2-hydroxybenzylidene]amino}phenyl)ethanone oxime) in methanol/acetone solution. On the basis of bifunctional 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-yl)terephthalic acid (H2BTA), four three-dimensional (3D) Pb(II)/Zn(II) coordination polymers (CPs), {[Zn(BTA)]·1.5(DOA)}n (1), [Zn(BTA)]n (2), [Pb(BTA)]n (3), and (4), have been synthesized (DOA = dioxane). In our work, ciprofloxacin was extracted from the raw material hydrochloride and coordinated with metal ions of copper, manganese zirconium.
