Low-cost supercapacitors have the ability to rapidly store a large amount of charge, which makes them best alternative batteries in portable electronics. Here, we demonstrate fabrication all-carbon using an organic electrolyte. By ZIF-derived nanoporous carbon electrodes, realized high-performance supercapacitor cell 2 M NEt4BF4/PC as Our device shows good energy storage capacity that is comparable other previously reported supercapacitors.

Abstract Single metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), constructed from the coordination between one-fold metal ions and organic linkers, show limited functionalities when used as precursors for nanoporous carbon materials. Herein, we propose to merge advantages of zinc cobalt metals into one single MOF crystal ( i.e. , bimetallic MOFs). The linkers that coordinate with tend yield graphitic carbons after carbonization, unlike those bridging ions, due controlled catalytic graphitization by...

Hitherto, many reports on composite materials for electrochemical applications are based one-dimensional carbon nanotubes or two-dimensional graphene materials. However, these usually suffer from a stacking problem during cycling. A smart nanoarchitectural design is needed in order to overcome this problem. Recent research energy storage (EES) has focused the development of three-dimensional (3-D) core-shell structures. The basis high performance control efficient intercalation ions such 3-D...

Because of a critical shortage in suitable organs, many patients with terminal liver disease die each year before transplantation can be performed. Transplantation isolated hepatocytes has been proposed for the temporary metabolic support awaiting or spontaneous reversion their disease. A major limitation this form therapy is present inability to isolate an adequate number transplantable hepatocytes. highly differentiated cell line, NKNT-3, was generated by retroviral transfer normal primary...

Abstract Purpose: Replication-selective tumor-specific viruses present a novel approach for treating neoplastic disease. These vectors are designed to induce virus-mediated lysis of tumor cells after selective viral propagation within the tumor. Telomerase activation is considered be critical step in carcinogenesis, and its activity closely correlated with human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) expression. We investigated antitumor effect hTERT-specific replication-competent...

A novel cuprate Volborthite, Cu3V2O7(OH)2-2H2O, containing an S-1/2 (Cu 2+ spin) kagome-like lattice is studied by magnetic susceptibility, specific heat, and 51 V NMR measurements. Signs for neither long-range order nor spin-gapped singlet ground states are detected down to 1.8 K, in spite of large antiferromagnetic couplings ~100 K between Cu spins forming a two-dimensional network. It suggested that Volborthite represents system close quantum critical point classical ordered disordered phases.

Hepatocyte transplantation improves the survival of laboratory animals with experimentally induced acute liver failure and physiological abnormalities associated liver-based metabolic deficiencies. The role hepatocyte in treating decompensated cirrhosis, however, has not been studied depth. To address this issue, cirrhosis was using phenobarbital carbon tetrachloride (CCL(4)) were only when evidence did improve CCL(4) held for 4 weeks.
