To study the possible association of CT-derived quantitative epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) and glycemia at admission, with severe outcomes in patients COVID-19. Two hundred twenty-nine consecutively hospitalized for COVID-19 from March 1st to June 30th 2020 were studied. Non contrast chest CT scans, confirm diagnosis pneumonia, performed. EAT volume (cm3) attenuation (Hounsfield units) measured using a post-processing software. The primary outcome was acute respiratory distress syndrome...
Additional evidence of the role COVID-19 vaccination in reducing pneumonia frequency and severity setting breakthrough infection could help combat ongoing vaccine hesitancy.
Mechanical thrombectomy is a standard treatment for acute stroke, but it can be technically challenging in elderly patients with difficult vascular anatomy. To overcome this issue, we propose new endovascular approach called the “tightrope” technique. This technique uses stiff guidewire and angiographic catheter to straighten internal carotid artery (ICA) tortuosity, allowing guiding positioned next intracranial level. We retrospectively evaluated all procedures which was used. involves...
Abstract Purpose: to study the possible association of CT-derived quantitative Epicardial Adipose Tissue (EAT) and glycemia at admission, with severe outcomes in patients COVID-19. Methods: 229 consecutively hospitalized for COVID-19 from March 1 st June 30 th 2020 were studied.Non contrast chest CT scans, confirm diagnosis pneumonia, performed. EAT volume (cm 3 ) attenuation (Hounsfield units) measured using a post-processing software. The primary outcome was acute respiratory distress...
Abstract We describe the case of a 54-year-old woman, previously submitted to nephrectomy for sarcomatoid renal cell carcinoma and treated with antibiotics because central venous catheter infection. An 18 F-FDG PET/CT scan was obtained that demonstrated bone lymph node metastases also disclosed an irregular area highly increased uptake (SUVmax 19.4) in right atrium. Clinical data did not suggest relapsed A contrast-enhanced CT examination heart enabled diagnosis intra-atrial metastasis....
Aggressive angiomyxoma (AA) is a rare mesenchymal tumour which mainly arises in the soft tissue of pelvis and perineum women reproductive age. AA usually shows an aggressive behaviour, with high rate incomplete surgical excision post-surgical recurrence. Most cases exhibit oestrogen and/or progesterone receptors; these cases, maintenance hypo-oestrogenic state can be helpful medical management this tumour. We describe case spontaneous reduction size during 6-month period hormonal replacement...
Desmoid tumour (DT) is an unusual, benign tumour, more frequently observed in patients with familial polyposis and pregnant females. It usually presents as a single mass lesion, showing compressive rather than infiltrative growth pattern. We report case of 70-year-old male presenting multifocal, bilateral DT the perirenal tissue, involvement choledochus wall. The patient was partly treated tamoxifen docetaxel, but both therapies were discontinued accordance patient's decision owing to mild...
• Wide variety of tumors and tumor-like lesions may involve the orbit. Establishing a differential diagnosis is challenging. Differential monolateral orbital masses should not include only but also inflammatory process to avoid misdiagnosis. Proptosis can be first manifestation IgG4-RD.

Case presentation
A 50 -year-old man came to the emergency department referring acute onset headache. Emergency brain CT scan showed diffuse bilateral subarachnoid hemorrhage in Silvian scissure and peri-mesencephalic cistern. angiography exam was performed, which a "blister-like' aneurysm of left vertebral artery (V4) (figure 1 A-B), near origin PICA. Due morphology, flow-diverter stent (Fred X 5x36 mm, Microvention) positioned treat aneurysm, administering Cangrelor EV. performed...
