An optically driven lobed micropump was developed using three-dimensional two-photon microfabrication. The two built-in rotors, 9μm in diameter, are cooperatively by means of time-divided scanning a single laser beam. It demonstrated that tracer particle moved simultaneously rotating the rotors. velocity proportional to rotation speed rotors range 0.2–0.7μm∕s. flow rate estimated be sub-pL/min level. This ultralow will useful for further integration and miniaturization micro-total-analysis systems.
Hypothermia is a condition in which body temperature falls below 35 °C, resulting from exposure to low environmental temperatures or underlying medical conditions. Postmortem examinations have revealed increased levels of fatty acids blood and lipid droplet formation renal tubules during hypothermia. However, the causes implications these findings are unclear. This study aimed analyze biological significance phenomena through lipidomics transcriptomics analyses specimens emergency...
In recent years, wet rice farming that does not use chemical herbicides has come in demand owing to the diversified consumer needs, preference for pesticide-free produce, and need reduce environmental load. this paper, we propose a “weeding robot” can navigate autonomously while weeding paddy field. The robot removes weeds by churning up soil inhibits growth of blocking-off sunlight. It two wheels, whose rotational speed is controlled pulse width modulation (PWM) signals. Moreover, it...
An LTQ Orbitrap XL hybrid mass spectrometry method was developed for the determination of illicit drugs and their metabolites, including amphetamine (AP), methamphetamine (MA), dimethylamphetamine (DMA), 3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), 3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), ketamine (KET), norketamine (NK), cocaine (COC) benzoylecgonine (BE), in hair. Micropulverized extraction employed sample preparation using a small hair (2 cm piece or 0.2 mg). Recoveries analytes during were...
Hair and nails are often used to prove long‐term intake of drugs in forensic drug testing. The aim this study was evaluate the effectiveness testing using hair feasibility determining when were ingested by measuring time‐courses concentrations toenails after single administrations various drugs. Healthy subjects four pharmaceutical products containing eight active ingredients doses. collected at predetermined intervals, measured for 12 months. administered their main metabolites extracted...
Sensitive detection of drugs using a method with high qualification capability is important for forensic drug analysis. Vibrational spectroscopy powerful screening technique because it can provide detailed structural information the compounds included in samples simple experimental protocols. Among various spectroscopic techniques, surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) has attracted enormous attention owing to its ultra-high sensitivity. In this study, we developed rapid hypnotics SERS...
In forensic drug testing, it is important to immediately take biological specimens from suspects and victims prove their intake. We evaluated the effectiveness of saliva fingerprints as alternative urine blood in terms ease sampling, detection sensitivity, periods for each specimen type. After four commercially available pharmaceutical products were administered healthy subjects, a single dose, urine, blood, saliva, taken at predetermined sampling times over approximately weeks. Fourteen...
Rationale A primary metabolite of Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, 11-nor-9-carboxytetrahydrocannabinol (THC-COOH), serves as an effective indicator for cannabis intake. According to the recommendations Society Hair Testing, at least 0.2 pg/mg THC-COOH (cut-off level) must be present in a hair sample constitute positive result drug test. Typically, is digested with alkaline solution and subjected gas chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry (GC/MS/MS) negative ion chemical ionization (NICI). Methods...
In recent years, a large number of clandestinely synthesized new psychoactive substances with high structural variety have been detected in forensic samples. Analytical differentiation regioisomers is significant issue drug analysis, because, most cases, legal controls are placed on only one or two the conceivable isomers. this study, gas chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (GC-MS-MS) was used to differentiate chloroamphetamine analogs (chloroamphetamines and chloromethamphetamines)...
Abstract Investigation of varicella‐zoster virus (VZV) is important epidemiologically, and determination its prevalence rate in human trigeminal ganglia to provide surveillance data. To date, studies on VZV detection have used specimens obtained from a relatively limited number cadavers. This study attempted detect DNA as well Herpes simplex type 1 (HSV‐1) by the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) 414 samples 207 cadavers selected at random. The was examined determine whether there were...
To overcome a number of challenges involved in analyzing methcathinone (MC) analogues, we performed gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, including sample preparation, nine MC analogues - 4-methylmethcathinone, three positional isomers fluoromethcathinones, 4-methoxymethcathinone, N-ethylcathinone, N,N-dimethylcathinone, buphedrone, and pentedrone. The underwent dehydrogenation when the free bases were analyzed using splitless injection. Most this thermal degradation was...
