The aim of our study was to evaluate the effects different probiotic strains, Lactobacillus plantarum LS/07 and Biocenol LP96, on lipid metabolism body weight in rats fed a high fat diet. Compared with diet group, results showed that reduced serum cholesterol LDL cholesterol, but LP96 decreased triglycerides VLDL, while there no change HDL level liver lipids. Both strains lowered total bile acids serum. Our have significant weight, gain fat. These findings indicate effect lactobacilli may...
Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) seems to be a promising approach in ulcerative colitis (UC) management with the aim of repopulating patient's dysbiotic beneficial bacteria and restore its metabolic activity healthy characteristics. Metabolites present after FMT may improve function integrity intestinal barrier, reduce inflammation, thus induce remission an UC patient. In this study we evaluated whether Simulator Human Intestinal Microbial Ecosystem (SHIME®) model suitable non-invasive...
Diet interventions and natural bioactive supplements have now been extensively studied to reduce risks of colon cancer, which is one the major public health problem throughout world. The objective our investigation was study effects probiotic, prebiotic, nutritional plant extract, oil on selected biochemical immunological parameters in rats with cancer induced by N,N dimethylhydrazine (DMH). Male female Wistar albino were fed a high-fat (HF) diet (10% fat diet) divided into 9 groups: Control...
Effects of the probiotic (PRO) Lactobacillus plantarum and combination PRO prebiotic (PRE) inulin enriched with oligofructose (2%), Lini oleum virginale (O) on counts lactobacilli coliforms enzymatic activities in faeces rats were studied. The (n = 60) divided into 5 groups 12 subjects. animals fed a high fat diet (10%) for 8 weeks experiment. Colon cancer was induced by application 1,2-dimethylhydrazine (DMH) twice week dose 20 mg/kg s.c. G2-G5. group 1 (control 1) received without any...
The ability of probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum LS/07 to modify the activity intestinal bacterial enzymes - β-glucuronidase (β-GLUCUR), β-galactosidase (β-GAL), and β-glucosidase (β-GLU) in prevention chronic diseases cancer, atherosclerosis dysbiosis was investigated. male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 12 experimental groups: controls groups C (control), AT (atherosclerotic), CC (carcinogenic), dysbiotic each group combination with antibiotics (ATB), probiotics...
Prebiotics are defined as selectively fermented food ingredients that induce specific changes in the composition and/or activity gastrointestinal microbiota beneficial to host well-being and health. The aim of presented experiment was investigate effect a prebiotic applied alone or combination with Hyppocastani extractum siccum, Lini oleum virginale rats dimethylhydrazine induced colon cancer. Wistar albino were fed high fat diet supplemented Horse chestnut flaxseed oil. faecal glycolytic...
Background: Obesity and overweight are major contributors to the global burden of chronic diseases disability in both majority minority populations. Methods: Data from cross-sectional population-based HepaMeta study conducted Slovakia 2011 were used. The sample comprised a total 452 Roma. Measurements special bioactive mediators taken final groups consisting 63 male Roma respondents (mean age = 32.59; SD=8.63) 117 female 34.55; SD=8.35). Respondents divided into three groups: those with...
Abstract To evaluate the efficiency of probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum LS/07 in dextran sulphate sodium (DSS) induced acute colitis selected biochemical (activity β-glucuronidase), microbiological (counts lactobacilli and coliforms), immunological (IL-6, IL-8, IL-13, NF-κB, MPO) parameters were assessed. Sprague-Dawley rats divided into groups: Control, Acute colitis, Probiotic. was using 5% DSS drinking water for 7d. an inflammatory process colonic tissue, increased activity...
This experimental study showed the effect of L. plantarum LS/07 on changes in total counts coliform bacteria, enzymatic activities, cytokine and histological colonic mucosa, chemically induced by application 1.2-dimethylhydrazine dihydrochloride (1.2-DMH) rats once a week during five weeks positive control group, probioticum (PRO) oil (PRO-O) group. A 32 were randomly assigned to four treatment groups: negative group (diet without any supplements), (1.2-DMH PRO (L. at dose (average...
Abstract The effect of the probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum LS/07 on intestinal bacterial enzyme activities – β-glucuronidase (β-GLUCUR), β-galactosidase (β-GAL), and β-glucosidase (β-GLU) in prevention cancer, atherosclerosis dysbiosis was investigated. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into 12 experimental groups: C (control group), AT (atherosclerotic CC (carcinogenic then each group combination with antibiotics probiotics individually double antibiotic probiotic. In...
The aim of this study was to investigate the possibilities modification chronic disease risk factors with probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum LS/07 and prebiotic inulin in rats western high fat diet. Sprague-Dawley were divided into four groups: control group (CG group), diet (HFD receiving combination (HFD+PRO oligofructose enriched (HFD+PRE group). activity β-glucuronidase, lipid parameters, bile acids, oxLDL, short chain fatty counts coliforms lactobacilli determined. High as a key...
Transplantation of faecal microbiota (FMT) is generally considered a safe therapeutic procedure with few adverse effects. The main factors that limit the spread use FMT therapy for idiopathic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are necessity minimising risk infection and transfer another disease. Obtaining animal model UC (ulcerative colitis) by exposure to DSS (dextran sodium sulphate) depends on many significantly affect result.
Natural bioactive supplements have been extensively studied as preventive agents. The aim of this study was to investigate the efficacy inulin enriched with oligofructose and Hyppocastani extractum siccum agents experimentally induced colon carcinogenesis in rats. Colon by N,N dimethylhydrazine (DMH) a dose 21mg/kg body weight s.c., five times at weekly intervals. Sprague Dawley rats (n = 45) were divided into control group without DMH; injected receiving DMH. beneficial effects natural...
Deviation in the gut microbial composition is involved various pathologies, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Faecal microbiota transplant (FMT) can act as a promising approach to treat IBD by which changes microbiome be reversed and homeostasis restored. Therefore, aim of this study was investigate effect FMT on remission acute response using dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced rat colitis model. communities were analysed 16S rRNA approach, clinical manifestations together with...
Objectives: The aim of this study was to confirm the effectiveness FMT on basis optimum composition faecal microbiota donor for support therapy in patients with ulcerative colitis, and observe viability frozen lyophilised administration forms under various storage conditions. Methods: bacterial samples assessed using amplicon sequencing via next-generation (NGS) technology, conducted Illumina MiSeq platform. BD FACS Canto flow cytometer used analyse metabolic activity samples. Results:...
Autoimmune thyroiditis (AIT) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) are the most common endocrinological diseases worldwide. Relation between these explains several hypotheses. One of them is influence some adipocytokines. This study evaluated association three adipocytokines (adiponectin, resistin visfatin) thyroid glycid status in patients with DM2 AIT compared to control group (CG). The consisted four subgroups: without thyreopathies, on substitution therapy prediabetes, healthy subjects as...
