We aim to monitor the trends of antimicrobial resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae and compare results sensitivity by disc diffusion minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). Two hundred eleven confirmed strains N. were subjected testing using penicillin, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin ceftriaxone from 1995 June 1999. Penicillinase-producing (PPNG) detected lodometric method. Minimum was determined E test. A low level penicillin PPNG 1996 maintained over years. Significant increasing trend...

Introduction: Thoracic myelopathy in neuro fibromatosis-1 (NF-1) is most commonly due to intra-spinal neurofibromas/dumb-bell tumors/intra-canal rib head penetration (RHP) causing cord compression. However, acute thoracic rapid progression of the kyphoscoliotic curve alone NF-1 without a significant spinal compression occurs very rarely. This case report discusses our experience with one such patient and we also discuss intraoperative post-operative challenges encountered this rare...

Abstract: The first case of sporotrichosis from Nepal is reported in a 25–year‐old man village about 60 km east Kathmandu. He never travelled outside before and had acquired the lymphocutaneous form disease after an accidental injury to right foot while cutting wood. diagnosis was made by culturing Sporothrix schenckii lesions, proving dimorphic character fungus vitro, its pathogenicity mice, serology. Oral potassium iodide therapy resulted complete cure.

It is rare to come across this as a granuloma manifesting focal neurological deficits without any overt immune deficiency. A 55-year-old male presented dysphasia. His vital were normal at presentation he was afebrile. Computed tomography (CT) MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) suggested left frontal mass lesion. possibility solitary metastasis...

Diastematomyelia is rare congenital anomaly most often seen in lumbar region .Epidermoid tumors spinal canal are rarer, more so the intramedullary location. While pathogenesis of diastematomyelia has been explained classical papers and can explain cooccurrence epidermoid these cases, actual reported cases as such quite rare. The author reports clinical, radiological operative findings a case.

Aim: Reporting a rare case of mature cystic teratoma spinal cord in an adult
Background: Teratomas the central nervous system are lesions accounting for less than 0.5-2% all CNS tumors. Most these found pediatric age group and favor sellar - suprasellar, pineal sacro-coccygeal regions. Their occurrence adult is incredibly rare.

Abstract Primary Ewing's sarcoma arising from frontal bone is rare. We report a case of 17-year-old boy with painless swelling in the frontoparietal region. Computed tomography showed destruction and an enhancing extradural mass. The patient underwent wide excision combined radio chemotherapy. Histopathology revealed it to be round cell sarcoma, immunohistochemistry confirmed sarcoma.

Abstract Gangliogliomas favor the temporal lobe. They are rarely reported in spinal cord. Ganglioglioma of conus medullaris is very rare. An 11-year-old boy presented with progressive weakness bilateral lower limbs. Clinical examination and radiologic investigations revealed a lesion an exophytic component involving cauda equina roots. The was excised near totally. Its histopathologic it to be ganglioglioma. rare lesions. Subtotal or near-total excision preservation function should aim...

Spinal epidural abscess is a medical emergency and usually secondary to hematogenous spread. The primary focus in most cases skin or soft tissue often associated with vertebral osteomyelitis paraspinal abscess. common predisposing factor diabetes.
