Neutrophil aggregation and clearance are important factors affecting neuroinflammatory injury during acute ischemic stroke. Emerging evidence suggests that energy metabolism is essential for microglial functions, especially phagocytosis, which determines the degree of brain injury. Here, we demonstrate Resolvin D1 (RvD1), a lipid mediator derived from docosahexaenic acid (DHA), promotes phagocytosis neutrophils by microglia, thereby reducing neutrophil accumulation in alleviating...

A novel, efficient, and highly regioselective Lewis acid-catalyzed [3 + 2] cycloaddition of alkynes with azomethine ylides, which are easily obtained from N-tosylaziridines via C-C bond heterolysis at room temperature was developed. Moderate enantioselectivity (70% ee) can be achieved by the application commercially available chiral Pybox 7 as ligand.

An efficient and mild Ni(ClO(4))(2)-catalyzed [3+2] cycloaddition of N-tosylaziridines aldehydes via C-C bond cleavage was developed. The reaction proceeds with high diastereoselectivity regioselectivity leading to highly substituted 1,3-oxazolidines. Notably, this novel can be easily expanded gram level scale the thermal conditions cannot achieve same transformation.

Sialic acids (Sias) are ubiquitously expressed on all types of glycans, typically as terminating residues. They usually link to galactose, N‐acetylgalactosamine, or other Sia residues, forming ligands many glycan‐binding proteins. An atypical linkage the C6 N‐acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) has been identified in human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs, e.g., DSLNT) and tumor‐associated glycoconjugates. Herein, we achieved systematic synthesis these HMOs an enzymatic modular manner. The synthetic...

Poly‐N‐acetyllactosamine (poly‐LacNAc) is ubiquitously expressed on cell surface glycoconjugates, serving as the backbone of complex glycans and an extended scaffold that presents diverse glycan epitopes. The branching poly‐LacNAc, where internal galactose (Gal) residues have β1‐6 linked N‐acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) attached, forms blood group I‐antigen, which closely associated with various physiological pathological processes including cancer progression. However, underlying mechanisms...

Utilizing polyion complexation, the formation of rod-like DNA condensates is driven by intrinsic rigidity supramolecular plasmid DNA. Upon interaction with polycationic block copolymers poly(ethylene glycol)-polylysine (PEG-PLys), these macromolecules undergo a regular self-folding process, during which double-stranded (dsDNA) transitions into single-stranded (ssDNA) at kinked junctions. Our investigations, employing transmission electron microscopy (TEM), unprecedentedly reveal absence PEG...
