The rate of a chemical reaction can be sensitive to the isotope composition reactants, which provides also for sensitivity such "spin-sensitive" reactions external magnetic field. Here we demonstrate effect field on enzymatic DNA synthesis together with spin-bearing magnesium ions ([Formula: see text]Mg). monotonously decreased induction increasing in presence zero-spin On contrary, ions, dependence was non-monotonous and possess distinct minimum at 80-100 mT. To describe observed effect,...

Human retinoblastoma cells were proven to possess some very unusual DNApolβ species. Being 23.5 kDa monomers, which itself is not common for the superfamily members, these chromatin associated proteins manifests most of DNApolβ-specifc functional peculiarities making them legitimate targets DNA repair cytostatic inhibitors. Particularly, tumor specific enzymes found be sensitive 25Mg2+-, 43Ca2+- and 67Zn2+-promoted magnetic isotope effects (MIE) caused a marked sequence growth limitation as...

Abstract The self‐assembly of small and always chiral molecules into fiber‐like structures is a mysterious process, as the physics underlying such unclear. energy necessary for this process exceeds one provided by common dispersion interactions hydrogen bonding. recent results obtained scientific group Prof. Naaman from Weizmann Institute Science fed light on nature forces providing attributed these to spin‐exchange interactions. Therefore, should be magneto‐sensitive. We found sensitivity...

Thio- and cyano- modified single-stranded poly(dNTP) sequences of different molecular sizes (20–200 n) the same lengths routine poly(NTP) species were tested for their impact on catalytic activities β-like DNA polymerases from chromatin HL-60, WERI-1A Y-79 cells as well affinity patterns in DNApolβ-poly(dNTP)/(NTP) pairs, respectively. An essential link between ultrashort (50–100 structures inhibitory effects towards cancer-specific β was found. A possible significance this phenomenon both...

A significant population of ultrashort (50-150n) single-stranded DNA fragments were found in exosome-free blood plasma retinoblastoma patients (6.84 ng mL-1), but not healthy donors. An original high resolution HPLC technique has been proposed to reveal and characterize this peculiarity. To solve task, a novel molecular size exclusion - anion exchange analytical was developed. Its applicability diagnostics oncogenesis research is quizzed here.
