Disruption of the blood-urine barrier can result in acute or chronic inflammatory bladder injury. Here, we demonstrate that pharmacological inhibition hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-prolyl hydroxylation prevented injury and protected from urinary dysfunction a mouse model cyclophosphamide-induced disruption barrier.
