〔目的〕軽症から中等症の間質性肺炎（IP）患者に対する30秒椅子立ち上がり検査（CS-30）の有用性を検討した．〔対象〕6分間歩行検査（6MWT）とCS-30の両評価が可能であった19例のIP患者とした．〔方法〕両評価結果の間の相関関係と比較を検討した．〔結果〕CS-30回数は6分間歩行距離と有意な相関を認めた．最大心拍数，最大呼吸数と最大修正ボルグスコアにも有意な相関を認め，そしてCS-30におけるこれらの項目は有意に低値であった．最低SpO2もまた有意な相関を認めた．SpO2の低下量は，CS-30で有意に少なかった．〔結語〕軽症から中等症のIP患者においてCS-30は6MWTを反映し，かつ運動時低酸素血症などのリスクを軽減しうる評価法である可能性が示唆される．

症例は74歳，女性．全身倦怠感を主訴に前医を受診し，腹部CT検査で回盲部腫瘤を指摘され紹介受診となった．初診時，右下腹部に手拳大の弾性硬な腫瘤を触知し，血液検査では貧血と炎症所見の上昇を認めたが，CEAおよびCA19-9は基準値範囲内であった．下部消化管内視鏡検査で，回盲部から上行結腸にかけて全周性の2型腫瘍が認められた．造影CT検査で明らかな遠隔転移は認められなかったが，右水腎症を認め尿管浸潤が疑われた．右尿管ステント留置の上，右半結腸切除術およびD3郭清を施行した．病理組織学的検査所見はss，ly1，v1，n0，Stage IIであり，腫瘍にはPAS陽性粘液成分が認められず低分化型扁平上皮癌と診断された．術後は良好に経過し現在補助化学療法施行中である．大腸原発の扁平上皮癌は極めて稀であり，腺癌に比べて予後は不良とされている．今回われわれは，盲腸原発扁平上皮癌の1切除例を経験した．
