Objectives. Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) pain is caused by nociceptors, which are actually sensory nerve fiber endings that can detect stimuli to produce and transmit signals, high levels of NGF in synovial tissue led peripheral hyperalgesia KOA. The purpose this study investigate how fibers respond the NGF/TrKA signal pathway mediate KOA rats. Methods. Forty SD male rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: normal, KOA, + NGF, siRNA TrKA. model induced anterior cruciate ligament transection...

Background Intervertebral disc degeneration (IDD) is a chronic degenerative disease and one of the main causes low back pain (LBP). Currently, there no effective treatment. Ferroptosis cell-regulated process that depends on iron deposition lipid peroxidation. Inhibiting ferroptosis in nucleus pulposus cells considered potential strategy for treatment IDD. Gallic acid (GA) naturally present variety plants has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant analgesic effects. It been shown to alleviate...

ErXian decoction is a Chinese herbal compound that can prevent and control the course of osteoarthritis (OA) osteoporosis (OP). OP OA are two age-related diseases often coexist in elderly individuals, both associated with dysregulation gut microbiome. In initial study, Palmatine (PAL) was obtained by liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) network pharmacological screening techniques, followed 16S rRNA sequencing serum metabolomics intestinal contents, to explore mechanism...

Abstract Synovial fibrosis is one of the most dominant histopathological changes in osteoarthritis knee (KOA), and activation vascular endothelial cells synovial both an important factor mediating pain KOA a major contributor to generation signals. At same time, angiogenesis nerve fibres are more likely underlie pathology induced by fibrosis. Objectives. Chronic pain, the main symptom of knee osteoarthritis (OA), remains primary reason for decreased functional capacity. Quzhi decoction, a TCM prescription, is effective in treating chronic pain OA, but potential mechanisms require further exploration. Methods. An anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) rat model was established, and pain-like behavior evaluated. Metabolomics analysis serum samples performed to identify differential metabolites, network pharmacology used...

Abstract Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a prevalent degenerative joint disease that primarily managed by improving the destroyed cartilage and reversing subchondral bone remodeling. Total glucosides of white paeony (TGP) capsule contains extracts from peony root has been shown to have various pharmacological effects, but its role in KOA still requires comprehensive evaluation. In this study, we aimed investigate protective effect TGP on knee bone, as well elucidate underlying molecular...

Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a degenerative condition with knee pain as the main clinical manifestation. Scraping one of commonly used traditional Chinese medicine treatment methods, which activates blood circulation, removes stasis, reduces inflammation, and so on. Although scholars have proposed that synergistic waist for KOA superior to simple treatment, there no relevant reference literature on application scraping therapy. Therefore, this study aims explore effectiveness potential...

Adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have been widely used in the clinic to treat joint diseases, and exosomes secreted adipose MSCs (ADSC-Exos) are more stable easier store than cell therapy alone. The aim this study was investigate whether ADSC-Exos could reduce KOA chondrocyte damage inflammation activating mitochondrial autophagy. In vitro, we induced a model...

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether prolonged overexertion can lead cartilage degeneration through Synthetic MRI derived relaxation maps. In study, 30 participants were recruited and measured with T1 T2 mapping by MRI. There a statistically significant trend in values the long-term exercise group compared normal group. Based on altered properties tissues, we conclude that chronic overexercise may degeneration.
