Abstract Ruminant livestock are important sources of human food and global greenhouse gas emissions. Feed degradation methane formation by ruminants rely on metabolic interactions between rumen microbes affect ruminant productivity. Rumen camelid foregut microbial community composition was determined in 742 samples from 32 animal species 35 countries, to estimate if this influenced diet, host species, or geography. Similar bacteria archaea dominated nearly all samples, while protozoal...

The Potrerillos granitic pegmatites, in the Sierras Pampeanas Orientales of San Luis Province, Argentina, consist mediumsized bodies with rounded, elliptical, or irregular outcrops varying from 10 to 60 m; vertically, they mostly look like thick lenses. Zoning is ill-defined, a border zone that grades into coarse-grained intermediate zone. core also poorly defined, normally containing milky pink gray quartz large crystals K-feldspar and, locally, pods primary fluorite. pegmatite-forming...

The Virorco dumortierite-bearing pegmatites, in Sierra de San Luis, Argentina, are a group of thin, steeply dipping dikes one to 10 cm thick. pegmatits symmetrically zoned, with quartz, albite, oligoclase, tourmaline- and dumortierite-group minerals, muscovite kyanite as the major phases; accessory trace minerals include beryl, chrysoberyl, garnet, fluorapatite, columbite-(Mn) tantalite-(Mn), pollucite, gahnite, zircon, uraninite thorite. Holmquistite was found exocontact assemblage. Primary...

Twinning and maternal nutritional restriction leads to fetal hypoxia, oxidative stress, intrauterine growth (IUGR) in near-term sheep pregnancies. Our aim was determine the effect of oral supplementation vitamins C E pregnant on umbilical cord blood concentrations effects antioxidant status, growth, placental efficiency. Sixteen single- sixteen twin-bearing ewes, grazing natural Patagonian prairies, were selected after transrectal ultrasound at day 30 mating. Half ewes from each pregnancy...

The A-type El Portezuelo Pluton (Catamarca, NW Argentina) is parental to an intragranitic suite of pegmatites NYFtype affiliation (miarolitic class, miarolitic-rare earth element subclass, with features more similar those reported for the gadolinite-fergusonite type). This study was performed on samples from host granite and several zones pegmatites, including crystals growing in miarolitic cavities fine-grained overgrowths.Micas massive are rather homogeneous, but coming usually sharply...

Twin-bearing pregnancies of sheep reared in harsh environmental conditions result maternal undernutrition and feto-maternal oxidative stress, leading to intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). We assessed the efficiency supplementation with antioxidant herbal vitamins C E alone or combination concentrate throughout gestation on pregnancy outcomes, pre-weaning growth, survival twin lambs from grazing ewes at Magellan Steppe. Four groups (n = 30 each) twin-bearing received a base natural...

Abstract Britholite group minerals (REE,Ca)5[(Si,P)O4]3(OH,F) are widespread rare-earth in alkaline rocks and their associated metasomatic zones, where they usually minor accessory phases. An exception is the REE deposit Rodeo de los Molles, Central Argentina, fluorbritholite-(Ce) (FBri) main carrier of closely intergrown with fluorapatite (FAp). These reach an abundance locally up to 75 modal% 20 (FAp) vein mineralizations. The Molles hosted by a fenitized monzogranite Middle Devonian Las...

ABSTRACT Ecandrewsite (ZnTiO3) and other ilmenite-group minerals have been found in amphibolites of the Sierras de Córdoba basement, Argentina, an area where zinc is a relatively widespread element associated metasedimentary metaigneous sequences. Ilmenite group occur as anhedral to subhedral, tens hundred micrometer-sized relic inclusions titanite. Electron microprobe analyses reveal compositions along discontinuous solid-solution trend ranging from manganoan ferroan ecandrewsite toward...
