We study the synchronization phenomena in a system of globally coupled oscillators with time delay coupling. The self-consistency equations for order parameter are derived, which depend explicitly on amount delay. Analysis these reveals that general exhibits discontinuous transitions addition to usual continuous transition, between incoherent state and multitude coherent states different frequencies. In particular, phase diagram is obtained plane coupling strength time, ubiquity...

This study presents transatrial stenting as a palliative treatment for central venous obstruction in dogs with cardiac tumors. Two presented lethargy and respiratory distress. On diagnostic imaging, large tumor was identified both dogs. One dog showed pleural effusion, plethoric caudal vena cava (CdVC), hepatic congestion, ascites. The other had cervical swelling effusion. Transatrial performed the cranial cava, right atrium, CdVC relief of caval atrial compression due to Clinical...

We investigate the synchronization transition of modified Kuramoto model where oscillators form a scale-free network with degree exponent $\ensuremath{\lambda}$. An oscillator ${k}_{i}$ is coupled to its neighboring asymmetric and degree-dependent coupling in $J{k}_{i}^{\ensuremath{\eta}\ensuremath{-}1}$. By invoking mean-field approach, we find eight different behaviors depending on values $\ensuremath{\eta}$ $\ensuremath{\lambda}$, derive critical exponents associated order parameter...

We modify the Kuramoto model for synchronization on complex networks by introducing a gauge term that depends edge betweenness centrality (BC). The introduces additional phase difference between two vertices from 0 to π as BC them increases minimum maximum in network. When network has modular structure, generates within each module, however, not over entire system. Based this feature, we can distinguish modules networks, with relatively little computational time of , where N and L are number...

We report an axial-asymmetric high-Q Fabry-Perot cavity supporting nondegenerate Hermite-Gaussian modes of the same mode order. Axial asymmetry mirror surface was introduced by mechanically grinding off one side a cylindrical substrate without degrading original quality. The bases resulting were aligned with respect to direction grinding, making it possible prescribe principal axes.

This study aimed to evaluate the agreement between oscillometric blood pressure (OBP) measured from tongue and invasive (IBP) dorsal pedal artery in anesthetized dogs of various body weights. Forty-five client-owned undergoing general anesthesia for surgery or imaging scan were included; weights ranged 2.5 42.6 kg. Agreement paired IBP OBP during normotension was verified with reference standards used small animals humans. The data stratified by weight (≤5 kg versus >5 kg). In group (n =...
