There are limited conventional chemotherapy options for biliary tract cancers (BTCs), a heterogenous group of lethal, rare malignancies. The receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) is closely associated with the progression human malignancies through regulation cell cycle. Overexpression or amplification RTKs has been investigated as potential biomarker and therapeutic target in BTC; herein, we investigate value such interventions.

Dickkopf-1 (DKK1) is a Wnt/ß-catenin pathway antagonist related to gastric cancer (GC) carcinogenesis. However, the prognostic role of combined DKK1 and ß-catenin expression in advanced GC (AGC) not clear. In total, 158 patients with AGC who underwent resection were enrolled this study. was evaluated whole tumor sections by immunohistochemistry.DKK1 high 73 (46.2%) patients, while positive 51 (32.3%) patients. The positively correlated that (P < 0.001). significantly associated N stage (N2...

The non-receptor tyrosine phosphatase SHP2 has scaffolding functions in signal transduction cascades downstream of growth receptors. A recent study suggested that acts as a tumor suppressor during hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development. Herein we examined whether links the HBx-NF-κB pathway to EGFR signaling HCC overexpression HBx or NF-κB led increased expression via binding Shp2 promoter. EGF treatment induced ERK activation well rapid assembly SHP2, EGFR, and Gab1. Upon LPS...

Endoscopic resection is the first-line treatment for rectal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) measuring <1 cm and those between 1 2 in size. However, conventional endoscopic cannot achieve complete all cases. We aimed to analyze clinical outcomes of precut mucosal (EMR-P) used management NET.EMR-P was treat NET 72 patients at a single tertiary center 2011 2015. Both, circumferential precutting EMR were performed with same snare device patients. Demographics, procedural details, histopathological...

Orbital solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) has recently been proposed as the encompassing terminology for hemangiopericytoma, giant cell angiofibroma (GCAF), and histiocytoma of orbit. The lacrimal gland is a very rare location both SFT GCAF. A 39-year-old man presented with painless left upper eyelid mass. An orbital computed tomography scan identified 1.1 cm-sized well-defined nodule located in gland. He underwent mass excision. Histopathologic examination showed proliferation relatively uniform...

Objective . Caveolin-1 (Cav-1), as the main component of caveolae, has complex roles in tumourigenesis human malignancies. We investigated Cav-1 primary and metastatic tumor cells gastric cancer (GC) its association with clinical outcomes. Methods. retrieved 145 cases GC who had undergone curative gastrectomy. The expression levels was evaluated by immunohistochemistry, clinicopathological parameters patient survival analyzed. Results. High protein stomach lymph node 12.4% (18/145) 16.5%...

ABSTRACT Diffuse pulmonary lymphangiomatosis (DPL) is a rare disorder involving the intrathoracic lymphatic system from mediastinum to pleura. Although DPL developmental abnormality and pathologically benign, it has various clinical presentations progressive course.
