The capacity of sewage sludge carbon (SSC) for the removal lead ion from aqueous solution has been studied under different conditions,namely SSC particle size,initial pH,initial Pb 2+ concentration and temperature.The results show that equilibrium data obtained fit Langmuir adsorption isotherms,this is an efficient adsorbent removing ion.The finer used,the higher metal capacity.An initial pH ≥4.5 favourable obtaining high removal.
