Enantioselective construction of all-carbon quaternary stereocenters has attracted much attention over the past few decades. A variety catalytic asymmetric methods have been disclosed based on use presynthesized complex reagents that impart congested steric hindrance to reaction center, which generally produce chiral molecules through forming one C-C bond. The readily available could build two bonds same carbonic center with concomitant assembly remains challenging. Herein, we disclose a...

The fall armyworm, Spodoptera frugiperda , is a lepidopteran pest that feeds on many economically important cereal crops such as corn, rice, sorghum, and sugarcane. Native to the Americas, it has become serious invasive in Africa Asia. Recently, this was found China spread quickly across country. As S. will most likely major China, Integrated Pest Management strategies, including biological control methods, should be developed manage its populations. Here, we report detection of Telenomus...

Abstract Enzymes largely exist in various oligomeric states, but monomeric enzymes are more conducive to industrial applications. Converting an enzyme into active monomer is a significant challenge. In this study, we present de novo design strategy convert fluoroacetate dehalogenase (FAcD) from its native dimeric form monomer. Using the AI-based method ProteinMPNN, identified critical protein-protein interaction (PPI) sites at dimer interface. ArDCA, another AI tool, was employed pinpoint...

Hypoxia-related adenosine (Ado) exerts an immunosuppressive effect in tumors by binding to the metabolic checkpoint Ado A2A receptors (A2AR), thereby hindering activation of antitumor immunity induced immunogenic cell death (ICD). In this study, a MnO2-assisted photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) biohybrid (MnO2@PSB) is developed enhance tumor photothermal immunotherapy interfering with Ado-A2AR pathway. Specifically, manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanoflowers are conjugated onto PSB carbodiimide...

A catalytic asymmetric synthesis of 3,3′-bisindoles bearing single axial chirality has been established via chiral phosphoric acid (CPA)-catalyzed enantioselective addition reaction with ninhydrin-derived 3-indolylmethanols. The selection 3-indolylmethanols as suitable electrophiles is based on the consideration that symmetric and bulky moiety ninhydrin would increase steric congestion around axis to generate stable avoid generation central chirality. By this approach, a series were...
