Abstract This study aims to investigate the relationship between weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI), a new body index, and sarcopenia, while also assessing potential of WWI as tool for screening sarcopenic patients. The cross-sectional involved adults who possessed complete data on appendicular skeletal muscle mass from 1999–2006 2011–2018 National Health Nutrition Examination Surveys. Weighted multivariate regression logistic analyses were employed explore independent sarcopenia. included...
The relationship between the weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI) and grip strength, a crucial marker in assessing sarcopenia, lacks clarity. We aimed to explore WWI muscle strength across genders.
Hemophilic arthropathy (HA) patients frequently have perioperative pain after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Although periarticular local infiltration analgesia by using a cocktail has been utilized in various surgeries, the efficacy of administration HA undergoing TKA remains unclear. This study aims to determine whether therapy can relieve and improve postoperative rehabilitation activities patients, addition corticosteroids is both effective necessary. We conducted retrospective analysis...
Objective This study aims to examine the association between Weight-adjusted Waist Circumference Index (WWI) and prevalence of periodontitis, providing novel evidence on link central obesity periodontal health. Methods A cross-sectional was conducted with 10,289 participants enrolled from NHANES 2009 2014. WWI calculated by dividing waist circumference square root weight. We employed a multivariate logistic regression model smoothed curve fitting method evaluate relationship periodontitis....
Abstract Crohn’s disease (CD) is an inflammatory bowel affecting the digestive tract, incidence of which on rise worldwide. The most common clinical manifestation hemophilia arthropathy secondary to recurrent joint effusions and chronic synovitis. This article reports a rare 25-year-old male patient with both hemophilic who was at risk for pathogenic gastrointestinal bleeding. After undergoing endoscopic pathologic testing genetic testing, multidisciplinary expert work-up treatment...
Total hip arthroplasty (THA) effectively treats end-stage hemophilic arthropathy. Given hemophilia's unique characteristics, perioperative bleeding remains a significant risk for patients undergoing THA. Tranexamic acid (TXA), an efficient antifibrinolytic agent, may benefit the outcomes of THA with hemophilia (PWH). This study aims to explore clinical efficacy intra-articular injection TXA in treating PWH and assess its additional benefits.
Abstract Background Synovitis-acne-pustulosis-hyperostosis-osteomyelitis (SAPHO) syndrome is a rare disease characterized by combined osteoarticular and cutaneous manifestations. The diagnosis of SAPHO remains difficult due to its clinical heterogeneity often requires the identification infectious neoplasm other bone abnormalities. Surgical treatment pathological fractures caused extremely rare. We report first surgical case clavicle fracture with syndrome. Case presentation: A 53-year-old...
<title>Abstract</title> Xanthoma typically occurs in the subcutaneous tissues, with rare cases of osseous xanthoma. However, occurrence knee joint osteonecrosis combined xanthoma is even more uncommon. To best our knowledge, this first reported case. In article, we describe a 50-year-old female patient who developed on basis joint. The primary clinical symptoms were pain and limited mobility. Despite conventional treatments for osteonecrosis, there was no significant improvement....
Xanthoma typically occurs in the subcutaneous tissues, with rare cases of xanthoma joints. However, case knee joint osteonecrosis combined is even more uncommon. In this article, we described a 50-year-old female patient who suffered on basis joint. The primary clinical symptoms were pain and limited mobility. initially received conventional treatment for osteonecrosis. there was no significant improvement. Later, found synovial patient's knee. Finally, she underwent arthroscopic excision...
