Abstract Purpose To evaluate the clinical outcomes and patterns of failure in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) treated intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) Northwest China. Methods materials From January 2006 to December 2009, 138 NPC were at Xijing Hospital. Of them, 25 cases stage I-II received IMRT only, 113 III-IVb plus accomplished platinum-based chemotherapy. The prescribed dose was PTV 68-74 Gy gross disease nasopharynx 66-72 positive lymph nodes 30-33 fractions, high...
The clinical outcomes for early-stage nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in northwest China were evaluated.A retrospective study was performed from 69 patients with NPC treated intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) or without chemotherapy.Median follow-up 34 months. World Health Organization (WHO) type II the predominant histology (71%). All treatment failures occurred T2N1 NPCs (14.5%), metastasis major reason. 3-year overall survival (OS), local recurrence-free (LRFS), and distant...
Stenotrophomonas maltophilia ( S. ) is an emerging opportunistic pathogen that exhibits resistant to a majority of commonly used antibiotics. Phages have the potential serve as alternative treatment for infections. In this study, lytic phage, A1432, infecting YCR3A-1, was isolated and characterized from karst cave. Transmission electron microscopy revealed phage A1432 possesses icosahedral head shorter tail. Phage demonstrated narrow host range, with optimal multiplicity infection 0.1. The...
Abstract Litter size traits of sows are crucial for the economic benefits pig industry. Three phenotypic 1,206 Large White (LW) pigs, that is, total number born (TNB), alive (NBA), and healthy piglets (NHP), were recorded. We evaluated a series genomic best linear unbiased prediction (GBLUP) models sequentially added additive effects (model A), dominance A+D), epistatic A+D+AA, model A+D+AA+AD, A+D+AA+AD+DD) using chip data imputed whole-genome sequencing (WGS) to estimate genetic parameters...
Objectives To evaluate the long-term survival outcomes and adverse effects of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) to summarise experiences IMRT in NPC past few decades non-endemic northwest China. Design A population-based retrospective study. Setting An experience using region Participants The study included 792 newly diagnosed non-metastatic patients who received from January 2006 September 2018 Xijing Hospital. Outcome measures outcomes, failure...

Few studies were conducted to explore the prognostic factors for nonendemic nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) in era of 3-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3DCRT)/intensity-modulated (IMRT). The aim this study was evaluate potential NPC. Between January 2004 and December 2011, a total 393 NPC patients receiving 3DCRT/IMRT reviewed according inclusion exclusion criteria. we analyzed included age, T stage, N lymph node diameter, primary tumor volume, WHO histology types, cranial nerve...
Background Whether keratoconus (KC) is an inflammatory disease currently debated. Hence, we aimed to investigate the immune-related features of KC based on single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and bulk (bulk RNA-seq) data. Methods scRNA-seq data were obtained from Genome Sequence Archive (GSA), RNA-seq Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), immune-associated genes(IAGs) ImmPort database. Cell clusters annotated, different cell then selected. The IAG score each was calculated using AUCell package....
MicroRNA-mediated posttranscriptional regulation is an important epigenetic regulatory mechanism of gene expression, and its dysregulation involved in the development progression a variety malignancies, including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The BCR-ABL1 fusion not only initiating factor CML, but it also driving for blastic transformation. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) targeting tyrosine activity, represented by imatinib, are currently first-line treatment CML. However, due to primary...
Given the potentially distinctive histological variations in northwest of China, aim current study was to compare efficacy induction chemotherapy plus concurrent chemoradiotherapy (IC + CCRT) with (CCRT) nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients different types. A total 301 were included this study. Patients classified two cohorts according 2005 WHO World Health Organization classification: type IIa group and IIb group. The Kaplan-Meier method used detect between IC CCRT types cohorts....
Abstract Prophages, which enables bacterial hosts to acquire novel traits, and increase genetic variation evolutionary innovation, are considered be one of the greatest drivers diversity evolution. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is widely distributed most important multidrug resistant bacteria in hospitals. However, distribution S. prophages have not been elucidated. In this study, putative were predicted genomes by using virus prediction tools, phylogeny they harbor further analyzed. A total...
Breast cancer is one of the common malignant tumors, and liquid biopsy has become a hot spot for clinical testing. To clarify detection effect in breast cancer, we collected peripheral blood HER2‐positive (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2‐positive) patients. Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) were isolated analyzed. HER2 expression on CTCs was detected. The results showed that 198 samples, CTC rate 79.8% (158/198), mean number 21, ranging from 1 to 63/7.5 mL blood. Only 41.1% (65/158)...
Biosynthesis of paclitaxel (Taxol™) is a hot topic with extensive and durable interests for decades. However, it severely hindered due to the very low titers intermediates. In this study, Escherichia coli was employed de novo synthesize key intermediate paclitaxel, taxadien-5α-yl-acetate (T5OAc). Plasmid-based pathway reconstruction optimization were conducted T5OAc production. The endogenous methylerythritol phosphate enhanced increase precursor supply. Three taxadien-5α-ol...
