Abstract Aim Patient‐reported outcome measures (PROMs) are increasingly used in palliative care to evaluate patients' symptoms and conditions. Healthcare providers often collect PROMs through conversations. However, the manual entry of these data into electronic medical records can be burdensome for healthcare providers. Voice recognition technology has been explored as a potential solution alleviating this burden. research on voice is lacking. This study aimed verify use machine learning...
Pain is subjective, and self-reporting pain might be challenging. Studies conducted to detect using biological signals real-time self-reports are limited. We evaluated the feasibility of collecting data on healthy females' menstrual preliminary analysis. Five adult females participated. They wore two wristwatch devices (Silmee Fitbit) a Holter ECG (electrocardiogram) during menstruation record intensity timing. Subsequently, we analyzed correlation between heart pulse rates assessed pre-...
Background/Objectives: The global nursing shortage encompasses issues such as the uneven nurse distribution in low- and middle-income countries, outflow to other retirement developed necessitating effective retention strategies. Our objective was clarify changes facility selection reasons among Japanese nurses after changing jobs personal attributes influencing selection. Methods: In January 2023, an online survey conducted licensed practical nurses, registered midwives, public health Japan....
Elucidating nurses’ work values will contribute to creating a environment consistent with individual and help them overcome challenging situations. This study aimed create short version of the Nurses’ Work Values Scale verify its psychometric properties usability among nurses, public health midwives, licensed practical nurses. The was developed in three steps. In Step 1, 12‐item scale created from original 30‐item via multidimensional item response theory based on data obtained 1587 2, we...
This study aimed to classify nurses with similar work values into subgroups by examining their intrinsic, extrinsic, social, and prestige values. Additionally, we clarified the characteristics of obtained using personal attributes, engagement, life satisfaction. Using a cross-sectional observational design, randomly sampled 52 hospitals in Tohoku region Japan conducted self-administered questionnaire survey 2600 nurses. Latent profile analysis was performed identify number subgroups. Of 1627...
Although opioids have been shown to be effective for cancer pain, opioid-induced adverse events (AEs) are common. To date, little is known about the differences in risks of AEs by opioid type. This study was performed compare prevalence across commonly used analgesic treatment Japan. This conducted as a preplanned secondary analysis multicenter prospective longitudinal inpatients with pain who received specialized palliative care relief. We assessed daily until termination follow-up. rated...
Objective Palliative care is provided according to patient needs. Healthcare providers can use the Phase of Illness assess needs and improve palliative care. However, patients' phase changes after team's intervention remain unknown.
Pain assessment becomes challenging for patients unable to self-report, given the subjective nature of pain. This study introduces an automatic pain detection model utilizing biological signals from wristwatch wearables and time series data with cancer experiencing Biological were obtained 10 7 days during their hospitalization. A total 73,154 minutes 407 reports obtained. We developed classifiers detect moderate or severe above personalized goal by several machine learning algorithms using...
State transition of sodium ion selective channel on the excitable membrane was modeled by setting more than 14 subclasses closed states and three inactivated states. The temporal changes in amount species were described 20 differential equations. By applying H infinite control principle, we have computed closed, open time courses these sensitive to electrical voltage gap across membrane. present work will be available for evaluating noise filtering function channel.
We propose a mathematical method to analyze the transient change in probability of gene regulation protein particle ( repressor ) for first time arrival at target operator region DNA chain. The differential equation probabilistic behavior molecular was diffusion type. expressed by modified Bessel functions. By applying Allen's approximation function, we obtained an form immediately after onset reaction. impulse response showed considerable oscillation. present result indicates genetic...
Abstract Purpose: Although opioids have been shown to be effective for cancer pain, opioid-induced adverse events (AEs) are common. To date, there is very little evidence suggesting that any one opioid agonist has a substantially better AE profile than other. This study was performed compare the prevalence of AEs across commonly used analgesic treatment in Japan. Methods: conducted as preplanned secondary analysis multicenter prospective longitudinal inpatients with pain who received...
Temporal change in G protein system 4as investigated by solving non linear rate equations to show the effects of changes constants on concentrations complexes comprising activation and inhibition reactions. In regulation processes as intracellular signal transduction mechanisms, constant for linking agonistic hormone receptor target cell has dominative following sequential recruit able It also influences that inhibitory action adenylate cyclase.
We describe the association kinetics with coupled three and one dimensional diffusion by physical mathematical procedures, deduce a general solution. introduce analytic rigorous solution reported Berg (1976) of temporal changes in flow that involved particles around DNA strand.
We applied the linear systems analysis and robustness for intra cellular calcium ion transport across sarcoplasmic reticulum. computed structural singular values H2/H/spl infin/ norms. The present investigation can be used evaluating functional space of system.
