Background Previous studies on public compliance with policies during pandemics have primarily explained it from the perspectives of motivation theory, focusing normative (trust in policy-making institutions) and calculative (fear contracting disease). However, social amplification a risk framework highlights that media plays key role this process. Objective This study aims to integrate theory behavior uncover “black boxes” mechanisms by which influence policy through use media. Methods...

Abstract Background Existing research has extensively explored the relationship between government trust and compliance behaviour, but significant controversies exist. Some studies suggest a strong positive correlation two. Other have found that hinders behaviour. However, during pandemic, effectiveness of public health policies largely depends on public’s with these policies. To examine aforementioned controversies, this study utilizes survey data Chinese population COVID-19 period to...

The processes $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\gamma}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, $\ensuremath{\gamma}{K}^{+}{K}^{\ensuremath{-}}$, and $\ensuremath{\gamma}p\overline{p}$ have been studied using a sample of $3.79\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{6}\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ decays. We determine the total width ${\ensuremath{\chi}}_{c0}$ to be...

The decay J/ψ→γπ0π0 is studied with 7.0×106J/ψ events collected in the neutral trigger mode by Beijing Spectrometer at Electron-Positron Collider. Evidence for existence of fJ(1710) and ξ(2230) this channel presented, corresponding masses as well product branching ratios are obtained. An interpretation a glueball favored.Received 4 March 1998DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.81.1179©1998 American Physical Society

A comparison of the rates for ψ(2S)→π+π−J/ψ, J/ψ→l+l− and J/ψ→ anything is used to determine J/ψ leptonic branching fractions. The results are B(J/ψ→e+e−)=(5.90±0.05±0.10)% B(J/ψ→μ+μ−)=(5.84±0.06±0.10)%, where first error statistical second systematic. Assuming lepton universality, fraction B(J/ψ→l+l−)=(5.87±0.04±0.09)% per species. This result estimate QCD scale factor ΛMS¯(4) strong coupling constant αs. The decays of the $\ensuremath{\psi}(2S)$ into vector plus tensor meson final states have been studied for first time using BES detector. We determine upper limits on branching fractions $\ensuremath{\omega}{f}_{2}$, $\ensuremath{\rho}{a}_{2}$, ${K}^{*0}{\overline{K}}_{2}^{*0}+\mathrm{c}.\mathrm{c}.$, and $\ensuremath{\varphi}{f}_{2}^{\ensuremath{'}}(1525)$ that are, in each case, significantly smaller than corresponding $J/\ensuremath{\psi}$ meson, scaled according to expectations perturbative QCD.

We report first measurements of the branching fractions B(ψ2S→γη′)=(1.54±0.31±0.20)×10−4 and B(ψ2S→γη)=(0.53±0.31±0.08)×10−4. The ψ(2S)→γη′ result is consistent with expectations a model that considers possibility η′−ηc(2S) mixing. ratio ψ(2S)→γη rates used to determine pseudoscalar octet-singlet mixing angle.Received 5 February 1998DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevD.58.097101©1998 American Physical Society

A search is performed for the production of ψ(2S) in e+e− annihilation at a center-of-mass energy 4.03 GeV using BES detector operated Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC). The kinematic features reconstructed signal are consistent with its being produced only association an energetic photon resulting from initial state radiation (ISR). Limits placed on decay unknown charmonia or metastable hybrids that might be annihilations GeV. Under assumption observed cross section due entirely to...
