An analysis of regenerative dividers predicts the required phase shift or selectivity for proper operation. A divider topology is introduced that employs resonance techniques by means on-chip spiral inductors to tune out device capacitances. Configured as two cascaded /spl divide/2 stages, circuit achieves a frequency range 2.3 GHz at 40 while consuming 31 mW from 2.5-V supply.
An adaptive equalizer incorporates spectrum-balancing technique to achieve high speed and low power dissipation. Obviating the need for slicers, this circuit compares frequency components of data spectrum adjusts boosting accordingly. Fabricated in 0.13-mum CMOS technology, achieves a rate 20 Gb/s while consuming 60mW from 1.5-V supply
Unbalanced data classification has been a long-standing issue in the field of medical vision science. We introduced methods support vector machines (SVM) with active learning (AL) to improve prediction unbalanced classes imaging field. A standard SVM algorithm four different AL approaches are proposed: (1) The first one uses random sampling select initial pool algorithm; (2) second doubles training instances rare category reduce ratio before (3) third balanced equal number from each...
This letter introduces a novel battery charging solution for multiple wearable devices. Using conductive textile interwoven into clothing, our system provides the convenience of on-body and capacity to charge devices concurrently from single charger. The uniqueness approach lies in its capability achieve load-independent constant current (CC) voltage (CV) using minimalistic component configuration permitting each device independently control mode. Empirical results confirm variation less...
The ITER toroidal field (TF) conductor is made up of superconducting Nb 3 Sn and copper strands assembled into a multistage, rope-type cable inserted conduit butt-welded stainless steel jacket sections. For the Project, Korean Domestic Agency (KODA) took responsibility procurement 27 conductors for TF magnets. After concluding Procurement Arrangement (PA) with International Organization in...
This paper presents the first experimental work on viscosity measurement of adult zebrafish whole blood using a capillary pressure-driven microfluidic viscometer. After device calibration with water, human was performed and in good agreement published data, demonstrating reliability device. Power law Carreau-Yasuda rheological models were used to model non-Newtonian behaviors blood. Theoretical modeling numerical algorithms applied determine over wide range shear rates. The proposed approach...
In continuation of single-conductor studies, quench onset data quasi-steady operation are reported for a formvar-coated composite (Nb48Ti/Cu) in bundle geometry (conductor thickness ≈ 0.2 cm, approximately square cross section). Overall thermal conductances the heater simulation technique applied order 0.1 W/(cm 2 K), comparable to single-specimen results, around 4 K and below lambda...
