Vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) phenotype switching is a pathological hallmark in various cardiovascular diseases. N4-acetylcytidine (ac4C) catalyzed by N-acetyltransferase 10 (NAT10) well conserved the enzymatic modification of ribonucleic acid (RNA). NAT10-mediated ac4C acetylation involved physiological and processes, including cardiac remodelling. However, biological functions underlying regulatory mechanisms mRNA modifications vascular diseases remain elusive.

Pulmonary ischemia/reperfusion (IR) injury is the leading cause of acute lung injury, which mainly attributed to reactive oxygen species (ROS) induced cell injuries and apoptosis. Since rosmarinic acid (RA) has been identified as an antioxidant natural ester, this compound might protect against pulmonary IR injury. In study, mice were given RA daily (50, 75, or 100 mg/kg) by gavage for 7 days before We found that hypoxemia, edema, serum inflammation cytokines aggravated in pretreatment (75...

Abstract Background Lung ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is a serious clinical problem without effective treatment. Enhancing branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) metabolism can protect against cardiac I/R injury, which may be related to bioactive molecules generated by BCAA metabolites. L-β-aminoisobutyric acid (L-BAIBA), metabolite of BCAA, has multi-organ protective effects, but whether it protects lung unclear. Methods To assess the effect L-BAIBA an animal model was clamping hilum left...

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are >200 nt RNA transcripts without protein-coding potential. LncRNAs can be categorized into intergenic, intronic, bidirectional, sense, and antisense lncRNAs based on the genomic localization to nearby genes. The current CRISPR-based lncRNA knockout strategy works efficiently for distant from gene, whereas it causes perturbance inevitably due technical limitations. In this study, we introduce a novel strategy, BESST, by deleting DNA fragment...

The formation of new and functional cardiomyocytes requires a 3-step process: dedifferentiation, proliferation, redifferentiation, but the critical genes required for efficient redifferentiation remain unknown. In our study, circular trajectory using single-nucleus RNA sequencing pericentriolar material 1 positive (PCM1+) cardiomyocyte nuclei from hearts 3 days after surgery-induced myocardial infarction (MI) on postnatal Day was reconstructed demonstrated that actin remodeling contributed...

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is an emerging driver of cardiac arrhythmias. However, the relationship between NAFLD and malignant arrhythmia in non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) patients still unclear. In this study, 358 NSTEMI inpatients were enrolled. They all received 24-hour Holter monitoring after percutaneous coronary intervention. All divided into two groups: non-NAFLD group (236 cases, 65.9%) (122 34.1%). Compared with group, had a significantly higher...

Exercise has been recommended as a nonpharmaceutical therapy to treat insulin resistance (IR). Previous studies showed that dopamine D1-like receptor agonists, such fenoldopam, could improve peripheral sensitivity, while antipsychotics, which are antagonists, increased susceptibility Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Meanwhile, exercise proved stimulate receptors. However, whether the D1 (D1R) is involved in exercise-mediated amelioration of IR remains unclear. We found antagonist, SCH23390,...
