Angiogenesis and vascular remodeling are crucial processes in tumor invasion metastasis as well embryo implantation normal development of the placenta. We have previously shown that hCG expressed trophoblast various malignant tumors promotes cellular motility uterine endothelium expresses hCG/LH receptor vivo. In this study was proposed to promote angiogenesis. A three-dimensional vitro angiogenesis system consisting microvascular endothelial cells seeded on microcarriers entrapped a fibrin...

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is the most frequent complication during pregnancy. Untreated GDM a severe threat to maternal and neonatal health. Based on recent evidence, up 15% of all pregnancies may be affected by GDM. We hypothesized that in rural birth cohort, higher BMI adverse socioeconomic conditions would promote GDM, which turn lead effects pregnancy outcomes.

Objective. Low total testosterone levels (TT) have been associated with increased morbidity and mortality. However, the prevalence incidence of deficiency (TD) in association its risk has not assessed systematically to date.Methods. Data from prospective population-based Study Health Pomerania were used. From 2117 men aged 20–79 years at baseline, 1490 complete TT data analysed. Crude age-specific rates TD estimated by below 10th percentile. Analysis covariance Poisson regression models used...

Pregnancy hides an immunological riddle combining two antagonistic characteristics of immunology: the existence a tolerance that allows gestation semiallogeneic fetus and proper protection against pathogens threatening health immunocompromised mother. Despite fundamental role B cells play in orchestrating immune response, their behavior context pregnancy has been barely investigated. Here we demonstrate numbers pre/pro immature were progressively diminished bone marrow (BM) pregnant mice,...

BACKGROUNDTransmural uterine compression suturing methods are a fertility-preserving alternative in patients with atonic primary postpartum hemorrhage (PPPH), which does not respond to manual or drugs. This study evaluated the effectiveness of modified U-suturing technique effecting PPPH after Cesarean section.

We have previously shown that both HCG and insulin-like growth factor-II (IGF-II) stimulate trophoblastic invasion. Furthermore, the invasion-promoting function of IGF-II resulted from mannose 6-phosphate receptor (IGF-II/M6PR) activation. Since did not an additive effect on cell migration extravillous trophoblast (EVT) line, HTR-8 SVneo, we hypothesized actions are mediated via alterations in expression and/or axis. treatment (50-50,000 mU/ml) HTR-8/SVneo cells alter either factor-I or mRNA...

Abstract More than 100 loci have been identified for age at menarche by genome-wide association studies; however, collectively these explain only ∼3% of the trait variance. Here we test two overlooked sources variation in 192,974 European ancestry women: low-frequency protein-coding variants and X-chromosome variants. Five missense/nonsense (in ALMS1 / LAMB2 TNRC6A/TACR3/PRKAG1 ) are associated with (minor allele frequencies 0.08–4.6%; effect sizes 0.08–1.25 years per allele; P <5 × 10 −8...
