Water-soluble arabinoxylans from wheat flour were purified and fractionated by graded ethanol precipitation. Six fractions obtained at 20% (F20), 30% (F30), 40% (F40), 50% (F50), 60% (F60), 70% (F70) saturation with ethanol. Neutral sugars (1)H NMR analyses revealed differences in structural characteristics. The Ara/Xyl ratio the amount of Xylp residues disubstituted increased concentration. Ferulic acid content was higher precipitated low percentage. Fractions refractionated SEC, leading to...

In the frame of second French Total Diet Study (TDS), 15+1 EU priority polycyclic aromatics hydrocarbons (PAHs) were analyzed in 725 foodstuffs habitually consumed by population, using gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry, after pressurized liquid extraction and purification on PS-DVB stationary phase. The highest PAH concentrations recovered corresponded following contributors: chrysene (25.7%), benzo[b]fluoranthene (15.0%) benz[a]anthracene (9.0%) whereas lowest those...

Ion mobility spectrometry enhances the performance characteristics of liquid chromatography–mass workflows intended to steroid profiling by providing a new separation dimension and novel characterization parameter, so-called collision cross section (CCS). This work proposes first CCS database for 300 steroids (i.e., endogenous, including phase I II metabolites, exogenous synthetic compounds), which involves 1080 ions covers 127 androgens, 84 estrogens, 50 corticosteroids, 39 progestagens....

Despite the growing interest in PCNs and dioxin-like toxicity exhibited by a number of congeners, comprehensive assessment their contribution to cocktail contaminants is still lacking. To address such shortcoming, this study investigated PCN contamination foodstuffs recently acquired France, together with that regulatory polychlorinated dibenzodioxins/furans (PCDD/Fs) biphenyls (PCBs). were ubiquitous at levels (∑70 = 2.5–150 pg g–1 wet weight) similar those reported other countries, maximum...

Beta-agonist compounds can be misused in food-producing animals for growth promoting purposes. Efficient methods based on mass spectrometry detection have been developed to ensure the control of such veterinary drug residues. Nevertheless, use "cocktails" composed mixtures low amounts several substances as well synthesis new unknown structure prevent efficient prevention. To circumvent those problems, analytical tools able detect abuse are today mandatory. In this context, metabolomics may...

In the present work, we address issue of nontargeted screening organohalogenated chemicals in complex matrixes. A global strategy aiming to seek halogenated signatures full-scan high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) fingerprints was developed. The resulting all-in-one user-friendly application, HaloSeeker 1.0, developed promote accessibility associated in-house bioinformatics tools a large audience. ergonomic web user interface avoids any interactions with coding component while allowing...

Collision cross section (CCS) databases based on single-laboratory measurements must be cross-validated to extend their use in peak annotation. This work addresses the validation of first comprehensive TWCCSN2 database for steroids. First, its long-term robustness was evaluated (i.e., a year and half after generation; Synapt G2-S instrument; bias within ±1.0% 157 ions, 95.7% total ions). It further by three external laboratories, including two different TWIMS platforms G2-Si Vion IMS QToF;...
