Background Increasing evidence suggests that many neurons may die through apoptosis in Alzheimer's disease (AD). Mitochondrial dysfunction has been implicated this process of neuronal cell death. One promising approach for preventing AD is based upon anti-apoptosis to decrease death nerve cells. In study, we observed the memory improving properties curcumin mice and investigated neuroprotective effect vitro vivo. Methods The were given AlCl3 orally injections D-galactose intraperitoneally 90...

Drought stress can negatively impact apple fruit quality and yield. Apple microRNAs (miRNAs) participate in tree development, as well biotic tolerance; however, it is largely unknown whether these molecules are involved the drought response. To identify drought-responsive miRNAs Malus, we first examined tolerance of ten F1 progenies R3 (M. × domestica) M. sieversii. We performed Illumina sequencing on pooled total RNA from both drought-tolerant drought-sensitive plants. The results...

Abstract Long noncoding RNAs are widely implicated in diverse disease processes. Nonetheless, their regulatory roles bone resorption undefined. Here, we identify lncRNA Nron as a critical suppressor of resorption. We demonstrate that osteoclastic knockout mice exhibit an osteopenia phenotype with elevated activity. Conversely, transgenic lower and higher mass. Furthermore, the pharmacological overexpression inhibits resorption, while caused apparent side effects mice. To minimize effects,...

Spinal cord injury (SCI) is one of the most common destructive injuries, which may lead to permanent neurological dysfunction. Currently, transplantation bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) in experimental models SCI shows promise as effective therapies. BMSCs secrete various factors that can regulate microenvironment, called paracrine effect. Among these substances, exosomes are considered be valuable therapeutic factors. Our study found BMSCs-derived therapy attenuated cell...

Abstract Tumor-infiltrating T cells are highly expressive of inhibitory receptor/immune checkpoint molecules that bind to ligand expressed by tumor and antigen-presenting cells, eventually lead cell dysfunction. It is a hot topic restore function targeting immune checkpoint. In recent years, immunotherapy blocking its receptor, such as PD-L1/PD-1 targeted therapy, has made effective progress, which brings hope for patients with advanced malignant tumor. However, only few benefit from...

Abstract The development of new biomarkers or therapeutic targets for cancer immunotherapies requires deep understanding T cells. To date, the complete landscape and systematic characterization long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in cells immunity are lacking. Here, by systematically analyzing full-length single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data more than 20,000 libraries across three types, we provided first comprehensive catalog functional repertoires lncRNAs human Specifically, developed a...

Lactate and protein lactylation serve a key role in tumor pathogenesis. Solute carrier 4A7 (SLC4A7), transporter, participates cellular acid homeostasis. However, its impact on lactate transport solid tumors, particularly lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), remains largely unexplored. In the present study, lactylome analysis, Transwell wound healing assay, animal experiments were conducted to validate functional regulation mediated by SLC4A7 LUAD. inhibited progression, including metastasis,...

Sweet cherry ( Prunus avium L.) is one of the fruits that are widely acclaimed around world. However, its prone to cracking from onset color full maturity, especially in cherry-producing regions where rain events common near harvest. Cracked cherries have an unpleasant appearance, as well susceptible invasion by fungal pathogens, therefore dramatically depreciated, incurring considerable economic losses growers, quite dampening their planting enthusiasm, subsequently restricting advancement...

Alkaline soils have a great influence on apple production in Northern China. Therefore, comprehensive evaluations of tolerance to such stress are important when selecting the most suitable rootstocks. Abstract Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) ranks the third among most common malignancies globally. It is well known that microRNAs (miRNAs) play vital roles in destabilizing mRNAs and repressing their translations this disease. However, mechanism of miRNA-induced mRNA cleavage remains to be investigated. Method In study, high-throughput small RNA (sRNA) sequencing was utilized identify profile miRNAs from six pairs colorectal tissues (CTs) adjacent (CNs). Degradome (DS) employed detect...

Abstract Background Deep understanding the differentiation process of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) is essential for developing cell-based therapeutic strategy. Substantial efforts have been made to investigate protein-coding genes, yet it remains lacking comprehensive characterization long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) during this process. Methods hESCs were passaged every 5–6 days and had maintained stable karyotype even until 50th generation. Pancreatic progenitor specification in vitro...

Abstract Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV‐1) infection in its human host often results progressive dementia and encephalopathy adults children, respectively. The mechanisms underlying virus‐induced neurocognitive dysfunction are not fully understood. However, several studies strongly suggest that secretory viral immune products from infected brain macrophages microglia affect the onset tempo of disease. One critical neurotoxin among these is HIV‐1 envelope glycoprotein gp120. To...
