Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common and serious organ dysfunction in critically ill children. Early identification prediction of AKI are great significance. However, current criteria insufficiently sensitive specific, heterogeneity limits the clinical value biomarkers. This study aimed to establish validate an explainable model based on machine learning (ML) approach for AKI, assess its prognostic implications children admitted pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).

Abdominal aortic calcification (AAC) is recognized as a strong predictor of cardiovascular disease (CVD) events. This study aimed to evaluate the association between weight-adjusted-waist index (WWI) and AAC in United States adults aged ≥ 40 years.Data were derived from 2013-2014 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES). WWI was calculated waist circumference divided by square root weight. scores quantified Kauppila scoring system, severe defined an score 6. Weighted...

Urinary interleukin-18 and cystatin-C are suggested to be biomarkers for predicting acute kidney injury (AKI). The aims of this study examine whether the urinary concentrations vary with gestational age other factors in non-AKI control neonates, determine can predict AKI development non-septic critically ill independently potential confounders. We enrolled 62 neonates. Urine was collected every 48–72 h during first 10 days life. concentration cystatin-C, but not interleukin-18, decreased...
