Technology advancements have enabled the integration of large on-die embedded DRAM (eDRAM) caches. eDRAM is significantly denser than traditional SRAMs, but must be periodically refreshed to retain data. Like SRAM, susceptible device variations, which play a role in determining refresh time for cells. Refresh power potentially represents fraction overall system power, particularly during low-power states when CPU idle. Future designs need reduce cache without incurring high cost flushing...

Voltage scaling is one of the most effective mechanisms to reduce microprocessor power consumption. However, increased severity manufacturing-induced parameter variations at lower voltages limits voltage a minimum voltage, Vccmin, below which processor cannot operate reliably. Memory cell failures in large memory structures (e.g., caches) typically determine Vccmin for whole processor. can be persistent (i.e., time zero cause yield loss) or non-persistent soft errors erratic bit failures)....

Voltage scaling is one of the most effective mechanisms to improve microprocessors' energy efficiency. However, processors cannot operate reliably below a minimum voltage, Vccmin, since hardware structures may fail. Cell failures in large memory arrays (e.g., caches) typically determine Vccmin for whole processor. We observe that cache lines exhibit zero or at low voltages. few lines, especially caches, multi-bit and increase Vccmin. Previous solutions either significantly reduce capacity...

As NAND Flash technology continues to scale down and more bits are stored in a cell, the raw reliability of memories degrades inevitably. To meet retention capability required for reliable storage system, we see trend longer write latency complex ECCs employed an SSD system. These greatly impact performance future SSDs. In this paper, present first work improve via relaxation. is typically retain data 1 10 years according industrial standards. However, observe that many over-written hours or...

Adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells are a robust, multipotent cell source. They easily harvested and exhibit promise in variety of regenerative applications. The purpose this study was to evaluate the aging impact on adipose-derived cells, relating morphology, senescent properties, growth factor expression, osteogenesis.Cells obtained from distinct age groups (infant, adult, elderly) were cultured. Morphology examined using microscopy, surface markers interrogated flow cytometry. Telomere...

Metabolic reprogramming is a hallmark of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) progression, driving aberrant cellular processes in response to pathological stimuli. While dihydrolipoyl transacetylase (DLAT) has been implicated the development various cancers, its specific role and underlying mechanisms HCC remain unclear. This study aimed investigate expression, function, mechanistic impact DLAT HCC. A comprehensive analysis was conducted using RNA sequencing data, tissue microarrays, vitro vivo...

Understanding the burdens and trends of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is necessary for developing effective intervention strategies. In this study, Global Burden Disease (GBD) 2019 study data were extracted analyzed to elucidate NAFLD.The prevalence, incidence, disability-adjusted life year (DALY), death rates NAFLD in geographic populations worldwide from 1990 GBD data. The global temporal trend was evaluated using estimated annual percentage changes (EAPCs) age-standardized...

One of the promising usages Physically Unclonable Functions (PUFs) is to generate cryptographic keys from PUFs for secure storage key material. This usage has attractive properties such as physical unclonability and enhanced resistance against hardware attacks. In order extract a reliable noisy PUF response fuzzy extractor used convert non-uniform random responses into nearly uniform randomness. We present a new method for mathematically estimating the active unit power of functional units in modern microprocessors such as Pentium 4 family. Our leverages phasic behavior consumption programs, and captures many phases possible to form linear system equations that can be solved. experiment results on real processor show estimations attained agree with measured very well, deviations less than 5% only.
