In this study, 411 vegetable samples from 36 supermarkets or farmer's markets 18 cities China, were analyzed for CRE. Carbapenemase-encoding genes and other resistance among the CRE isolates. Plasmids carrying carbapenemase studied by conjugation, replicon typing, S1-PFGE southern blot,...
Tigecycline serves as one of the antibiotics last resort to treat multidrug-resistant (including carbapenem-resistant) pathogens. However, recently emerged plasmid-mediated tigecycline resistance mechanism, Tet(X), challenges clinical efficacy this class antibiotics. In study, we detected 180
ABSTRACT We report the presence of mcr-1 in Escherichia coli and carbapenem-resistant Cronobacter sakazakii from same diseased chicken. The gene linked with IS Apl1 was located on two different IncI2 plasmids, including one multidrug plasmid E. , whereas fosA3-bla NDM-9 an IncB/O C. . development resistance region mediated by 26 colocation or bla other genes will accelerate dissemination genes.
This study investigated the characteristics of Escherichia coli isolates carrying mcr-1-blaNDM from a chicken farm in China. Of 78 E. isolates, 21 clonally unrelated carried Diverse IncI2 plasmids disseminated mcr-1, while dissemination blaNDM was mediated by diverse IncB/O plasmids. More striking colocalization resistance genes mcr-1 and blaNDM-4 an IncHI2/ST3 plasmid, which might pose great challenge for public health.
In this study, the prevalence of plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance (PMQR) was investigated in 495 Escherichia coli isolates from diseased food-producing animals Guangdong province, China. The resistance-determining regions (QRDRs) gyrA and parC genes were analysed for mutations 55 harbouring only oqxAB all other PMQR genes. Overall, 282 (57.0 %) E. had at least one gene. detected 215 predominated genes, followed by qnrS (63 isolates), aac(6')-Ib-cr (56 qnrB (39 isolates) qepA (18...
Lincomycin is commonly used on swine farms for growth promotion as well disease treatment and control. Consequently, lincomycin may accumulate in the environment adjacent to many ways, thereby influencing antibiotic resistance environment. Levels of lincomycin-resistance genes residues water soil samples collected from multiple sites near wastewater discharge areas were investigated this study. Sixteen 16S rRNA detected using real-time PCR. Three genes, lnu(F), erm(A), erm(B), all except...
Background: The concurrence of mcr and carbapenemase genes among Enterobacteriaceae has been a great clinical concern. In our study, we aimed to investigate the prevalence -positive carbapenem-resistant (CRE) in fresh vegetables shed light on possibility transmission CRE via vegetables. Methods: this 712 vegetable samples from 10 provinces China were collected between May 2017 Dec 2018 screened for genes.
