This study presents the isolation of influenza A(H5N8) virus clade 2.3.4.4b from a poultry worker during an outbreak highly pathogenic avian among chickens at farm in Astrakhan, Russia December 2020. Nasopharyngeal swabs collected seven workers were positive for A(H5N8), as confirmed by RT-PCR and sequencing. The was isolated one human specimens characterised. Sporadic A(H5)2.3.4.4. infections represent possible concern public health.

Vaccination of the population is one most effective countermeasures in responding to pandemic caused by novel coronavirus infection. Therefore, scientists all over world have been working develop and safe vaccines. We developed a synthetic peptide vaccine, EpiVacCorona, against SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which suspension for intramuscular administration containing composition chemically synthesized immunogens S protein conjugated carrier adsorbed on aluminum hydroxide. To date, the 'one bug-one drug' approach to antiviral drug development cannot effectively respond constant threat posed by an increasing diversity of viruses causing outbreaks viral infections that turn out be pathogenic for humans. Evidently, there is urgent need new strategies develop efficient agents with broad-spectrum activities. In this paper, we identified camphene derivatives showed broad activities in vitro against a panel enveloped viruses, including influenza virus A/PR/8/34...

Background: In 2020, the pandemic caused by novel coronavirus infection has become one of most critical global health challenges during past century. The lack a vaccine, as effective way to control infection, prompted development large number preventive products scientific community. We have developed candidate vaccine (EpiVacCorona) against SARS-CoV-2 that is based on chemically synthesized peptides conjugated carrier protein and adsorbed aluminum hydroxide studied specific activity...

In the present work we studied antiviral activity of home library monoterpenoid derivatives using pseudoviral systems our development, which have glycoproteins SARS-CoV-2 virus strains Wuhan and Delta on their surface. We found that borneol with a tertiary nitrogen atom can exhibit at early stages viral replication. order to search for potential binding sites ligands glycoprotein, carried out additional biological tests study inhibition re-receptor-binding domain protein S. When developing drugs against SARS-CoV-2, it is important to consider the characteristics of patients with different co-morbidities. People infected HIV-1 are a particularly vulnerable group, as they may be at higher risk than general population contracting COVID-19 clinical complications. For such patients, broad spectrum antiviral activity paramount importance.
