Ved udgravningen af Lindegården syd for Ribe Domkirke fremkom etstørre fragment en runesten. Den kraftigt tilhuggede sten kan ud frasin særegne ornamentik dateres til den sene vikingetid, og det er denførste kendte runesten fra Sydvestjylland. I 2005 blev Dagmarsgade i Ribe renoveret. De arkæologiske undersøgelser den forbindelse viste, at derunder gaden fandtes velbevarede rester af et tæt bebygget middelalderligt kvartér, hvis rødder kunneføres tilbage til o. år 1100.
