The catalytic dehydrocoupling/dehydrogenation of N-methylamine-borane, MeNH(2)·BH(3) (7), to yield the soluble, high molecular weight poly(N-methylaminoborane) (8a), [MeNH-BH(2)](n) (M(W) > 20 000), has been achieved at °C using Brookhart's Ir(III) pincer complex IrH(2)POCOP (5) (POCOP = [μ(3)-1,3-(OPtBu(2))(2)C(6)H(3)]) as a catalyst. analogous reaction with ammonia-borane, NH(3)·BH(3) (4), gave an insoluble product, [NH(2)-BH(2)](n) (8d), but copolymerization soluble random copolymers,...

Importance Cannabis use has increased globally, but its effects on brain function are not fully known, highlighting the need to better determine recent and long-term activation outcomes of cannabis use. Objective To examine association lifetime history heavy with across a range functions in large sample young adults US. Design, Setting, Participants This cross-sectional study used data (2017 release) from Human Connectome Project (collected between August 2012 2015). Young (aged 22-36 years)...

We analyzed data from a survey of occupational factors and pregnancy outcome to examine the effects cigarette, alcohol, coffee consumption on outcome. Clear statistically significant associations were found between cigarette alcohol spontaneous abortion. There was weaker but association with consumption: If casual, 11% abortions could be attributed smoking, 5% 2% coffee.

The efficient catalytic dehydrocoupling of a range amine-borane adducts, R'RNH x BH(3) (R' = R Me 1a; R' (i)Pr 1b; Me, CH(2)Ph 1c) by series group 4 metallocene type precatalysts has been demonstrated. A reduction in activity was detected upon descending the and also on substitution cyclopentadienyl (Cp) ligands with sterically bulky or electron-donating substituents. Precatalysts Cp(2)TiCl(2)/2(n)BuLi Cp(2)Ti(PMe(3))(2), which are believed to act as precursors [Cp(2)Ti], were found promote...

We analyzed data from a survey of occupational and other factors in pregnancy to assess the effects cigarette, alcohol, coffee consumption on outcome. The risk low birth weight for gestational age was found increase substantially with smoking. Occasional consumers alcohol had slightly reduced relative total abstainers. In more frequent drinkers, there small risk. Risk increased consumption.

Although several risk factors have been identified for alcohol use disorder, many individuals with these do not go on to develop the disorder. Identifying early phenotypic differences between vulnerable and healthy control subjects could help identify those at higher risk. Binge drinking, defined as reaching a blood level of 80 mg%, carries negative legal health outcomes may be an marker vulnerability. Using carefully controlled experimental paradigm, authors tested hypothesis that including...

Intravenous ribavirin was provided non-selectively for investigational open-label use among persons with suspected hantavirus pulmonary syndrome (HPS) in the United States between 4 June 1993 and 1 September 1994. Therapy initiated prior to laboratory confirmation of infection because most deaths from HPS occur within 48 h hospitalization. Thirty patients confirmed HPS, 105 without 5 adequate diagnostic testing were enrolled. This observational study arguably provides complete information...

The Rh(I) complex RhCl(PHCy(2))(3) (1) (Cy = cyclohexyl, C(6)H(11)) has been investigated as a catalyst for the dehydrogenation/dehydrocoupling of dimethylamine-borane adduct Me(2)NH.BH(3) (3) at 20 degrees C to afford cyclic dimer [Me(2)N-BH(2)](2) (4). Unlike previously studied neutral and cationic precatalysts such [{Rh(mu-Cl)(1,5-cod)}(2)] [Rh(1,5-cod)(2)]OTf (1,5-cod 1,5-cyclooctadiene, C(8)H(12), OTf OSO(2)CF(3)) with weakly electron-donating ligands metal center, which are reduced...

Abstract The endocannabinoid system plays an important role in reward and addiction. One of the two main neurotransmitters, anandamide, is metabolized by fatty acid amide hydrolase, enzyme with a functional genetic polymorphism ( FAAH Pro129Thr, rs324420). Thr129 allele has been linked to problem drug alcohol use, but association not widely replicated may be stronger for clinical measures severity rather than categorical diagnosis. In present study, we sought determine whether was associated...
