The energy spacing of the spin-doublet states in ${}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}^{4}$He hypernucleus indicate a large spin dependent charge symmetry breaking $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}\phantom{\rule{0}{0ex}}N$ interaction.
We have carried out an experiment to search for a neutron-rich hypernucleus, $^6_{\Lambda}$H, by the $^6$Li($\pi^-,K^+$) reaction at $p_{\pi^-}$ =1.2 GeV/$c$. The obtained missing mass spectrum with estimated energy resolution of 3.2 MeV (FWHM) showed no peak structure corresponding $^6_{\Lambda}$H hypernucleus neither below nor above $^4_{\Lambda}$H$+2n$ particle decay threshold. An upper limit production cross section bound was be 1.2 nb/sr 90% confidence level.
A prototype system based on a combination of 4π sensitive gamma imaging and simultaneous localization mapping (SLAM) was developed to find unknown radiation source(s) rapidly. The consisted spherical visible camera, three-dimensional light detection ranging, CdTe pixel array detector for imaging, portable battery, control laptop personal computer; these were mounted an unmanned vehicle. In search area 16 × m 2 with height 3 m, the successfully demonstrated finding 137 Cs point source...
Hypernuclei, in which a proton or neutron an atomic nucleus is replaced by baryon that includes some number of valence strange quarks, are unique probe nuclear structure as well the strong interaction. This work provides significantly improved cross section data missing-mass spectra search possible ground state ${}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}^{6}$H hypernucleus, whose existence had been suggested earlier experiment using different reaction. While new considerable sensitivity, authors...
We developed a path-planning system for radiation source identification devices using 4π gamma imaging. The estimated location and activity were calculated by an integrated simulation model images at multiple measurement positions. Using these values, prediction to estimate the probability of next position was created via random forest analysis. based on verified experiment 137Cs point source. results showed that sources identified few positions suggested system.
Abstract Latent fingerprints were successfully visualized using fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM) on paper which emits strong with a close to that of and thus from it is difficult for time‐resolved spectroscopy visualize fingerprints. fingerprint samples excited 450 nm or 532 nanosecond pulsed‐laser, images obtained at delay time 6–16 ns in intervals 1 ns, the excitation pulse. The beam was expanded lens, captured an intensified CCD camera. Because large intensity background approximately...
For accurate identification of radiation sources using 4π gamma imaging, the selection rule measurement points around target was investigated. In a simple computational model detector movement algorithm optimized by decision trees analysis. According to proposed algorithm, 137Cs point source identified multi-pixel CdTe mounted on an unmanned vehicle as prototype imager.
Gait analysis has been recently evolving techniques by which we can identify individuals using their gait patterns. One of appearance-based methods based on GEI (Gait Energy Image) used for forensic purpose in Japan. As long as the condition two footages is close to an ideal case, means are same view-angle, clothing, resolution, frame-rate and stable walking, this method very useful so far. However, if becomes far from identification accuracy become dropped down, resulting impossible. Here,...
Ejected electrons from the singlet and triplet states of doubly excited ions, produced by 25, 50, 75 100 keV Ar collisions have been measured with high-resolution electron spectroscopy. Only were observed when target was He; in contrast, many collisions. Both contributed to spectra collisions, particular, conspicuous at low energy. Two theoretical methods, perturbation theory or Z expansion (MZ code) multiconfigurational Hartree-Fock (Cowan used for identification ejected-electron spectra....
We measured ejected electron spectra caused by autoionization of doubly excited states in He atoms; the was made double capture low-energy ${\mathrm{He}}^{2+}$ ions colliding with Ba atoms. Measurements were performed means zero degree spectroscopy at projectile energies from 40 to 20 keV. Electron due $\mathrm{He}{(2\mathrm{lnl}}^{\ensuremath{'}})$ ${\mathrm{He}}^{+}(1s)$ for $n>~2,$ and those $\mathrm{H}\mathrm{e}(3{\mathrm{lnl}}^{\ensuremath{'}})$ ${\mathrm{He}}^{+}$ $(2s$ or $2p)$...

Image enhancement of a pre-processed and colored fingerprint with complex background patterns has high demand in appraisal evaluation forensic evidence. This paper focuses on image ninhydrin-processed fingerprints periodic-patterned backgrounds. Contrast adjustment usually does not work well for separation between backgrounds because similarity their color scales and/or superposing patterns. As alternative methods contrast adjustment, two approaches have been proposed. The first one is to...
The global challenge of on-site detection highly enriched uranium (HEU), a substance with considerable potential for unauthorized use in nuclear security, is critical concern. Traditional passive nondestructive assay (NDA) techniques, such as gamma-ray spectroscopy high-purity germanium detectors, face significant challenges detecting HEU when it shielded by heavy metals. Addressing this security need, we introduce an method lead-shielded employing transportable NDA system that utilizes the...
