Background:Cell therapy is a therapeutic option for patients presenting with nonrevascularizable critical limb ischemia (CLI). However there lack of firm evidence on its efficacy because the paucity randomized controlled trials.
In the healthcare environment, microorganisms’ cross-transmission between inanimate surfaces and patients or workers can lead to healthcare-associated infections. A recent interest has grown create antimicrobial copper touch surfaces, in order counteract microbial spread environment. For first time, five French long-term care facilities were at 50% fitted with alloys door handles handrails. Related environmental bacterial contamination, 1400 samples carried out on control over three years...
Abstract Excess soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase 1 (sFlt-1), a inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor pathway, has been demonstrated to promote dysfunction. Here, we demonstrate that sFlt-1 plasma levels correlate with respiratory symptom severity, expression dysfunction biomarker, and incidence organ failure in coronavirus disease 2019 patients. Clinical Trials Registration: NCT04394195.
The SARS-COV2 pandemic has been ongoing worldwide since at least 2 years. In severe cases, this infection triggers acute respiratory distress syndrome and quasi-systemic damage with a wide range of symptoms. Long-term physical psychological consequences are therefore naturally present among these patients. aim study was to describe the state health patients 6 (M6) 12 months (M12) after onset, compare quality-of-life (QOL) fatigue time-points.A prospective cohort set up Reims University...
Summary Histological transformation ( HT ) to diffuse large B‐cell lymphoma DLBCL is a rare and poorly reported complication of Waldenström macroglobulinaemia WM ). We performed retrospective study 77 patients with biopsy‐proven . The median time from diagnosis was 4·6 years 16 (21%) had never been treated for At , extranodal sites were observed in 91% rather high incidence central nervous system, cutaneous or testicular involvement. Fluorodeoxyglucose‐positron emission tomography half the...
ABSTRACT Purpose The purpose of this study was to identify a notoriety bias in database spontaneous reports and its consequences on the calculation reporting odds ratio (ROR). Methods We used case/noncase methodology calculate ROR for bisphosphonates osteonecrosis jaw (ONJ) French national pharmacovigilance (from 1985 2013). To evaluate bias, drug‐related risk factors ONJ [as specified summary product characteristics (SPC) bisphosphonates] were systematically scanned notifications occurring...
Objectives We aimed to evaluate the effect of implementation a fast-track on emergency department (ED) length stay (LOS) and quality care indicators. Design Adjusted before–after analysis. Setting A large hospital in Champagne-Ardenne region, France. Participants Patients admitted ED between 13 January 2015 2017. Intervention Implementation for patients with small injuries or benign medical conditions (13 2016). Primary secondary outcome measures Proportion LOS ≥4 hours proportion access...
Patients (pts) with asymptomatic low-burden follicular lymphoma (FL) are usually observed at diagnosis. Time to treatment (TLT) initiation can however be very heterogeneous and risk factors of progression poorly studied. Our study evaluated 201 pts grade 1-3a low-tumor burden FL diagnosed in four French centers between 2010 2020 managed by a watch wait strategy real-life settings. After median follow-up 4.8 years, the TLT was 4.2 years (95% confidence interval, 3.1-5.5). On multivariate...
Abstract Background Acute kidney injury (AKI) requiring renal replacement therapy (RRT) is common in intensive care units (ICUs), yet optimal amikacin dosing this context remains poorly understood. Methods We conducted a prospective observational study across 18 French hospitals from April 2020 to January 2022. Adult ICU patients (aged > years) receiving their first dose while on RRT were included. Data demographics, modalities, dosing, and therapeutic drug monitoring collected. Using...
ABSTRACT Background Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer‐related death worldwide. The French CRC screening campaign based on fecal immunochemical tests (FIT), confirmed by colonoscopy, an invasive procedure with a poor participation rate. This study aimed to compare expression circulating exosomal proteins (MMP14, β1‐Integrin subunit, β3‐Integrin and α1(I) Collagen chain) in patients or adenomas. Methods A total 71 were recruited, including 24 controls (normal...
In order to study the mechanisms of COVID-19 damage following complement activation phase occurring during innate immune response SARS-CoV-2, CR1 (the regulating factor, CD35, C3b/C4b receptor), C4d deposits on Erythrocytes (E), and products C3b/C3bi, were assessed in 52 patients undergoing O
Many studies have shown the effectiveness of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in treatment knee osteoarthritis. We aimed to determine factors associated with good or poor response PRP injections This was a prospective observational study. Patients osteoarthritis were recruited from university hospital. injected twice at one-month interval. Pain assessed on visual analog scale (VAS) and function using Western Ontario McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC). Radiographic stage collected...
