The authors devised the tip detection (TD) method and developed AnteOwl WR intravascular ultrasound to standardize ultrasound-based 3-dimensional wiring for intraplaque tracking in chronic total occlusion (CTO)-percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). TD also allowed antegrade dissection re-entry (ADR). Combining TD-ADR with Conquest Pro 12 Sharpened Tip (CP12ST) wire, a new ADR wire strongest penetration force date, enabled anywhere except calcification sites.
Recent studies have reported that tiliroside, a glycosidic flavonoid, possesses anti-diabetic activities. In the present study, we investigated effects of tiliroside on carbohydrate digestion and absorption in gastrointestinal tract. This study showed inhibits pancreatic α-amylase (IC₅₀ = 0.28 mM) vitro. Tiliroside was found as noncompetitive inhibitor with K(i) values 84.2 μM. male ICR mice, increase postprandial plasma glucose levels significantly suppressed tiliroside-administered group....
The tasting of bitter compounds may have evolved as a protective mechanism against ingestion potentially harmful substances. We identified second messengers involved in taste and show here for the first time that they are rapid transient. Using quench-flow system, we studied signal transduction pair mouse strains differ their ability to stimulus sucrose octaacetate (SOA); however, both agent denatonium. In mice, denatonium (10 mM) induced transient increase levels messenger inositol...
The purpose of this study was to evaluate changes in disc position, mobility, and morphology patients with temporomandibular joint disorders (TMD) response four different treatments, splint therapy, pumping manipulation, arthrocentesis, arthroscopic surgery, using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Eighty-five joints (85 patients) unilateral internal derangement or osteoarthritis that were successfully treated included study. divided into groups as follows: therapy group, manipulation...
Scope Peroxisome proliferator‐activated receptor alpha (PPAR‐α) is a ligand‐activated transcription factor that regulates lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. We investigate the effects of naturally occurring PPAR‐α agonists, phytol, its metabolite phytanic acid, on obesity‐induced metabolic disorders using mouse model. Methods results A luciferase reporter assay shows acid potently activates among PPAR subtypes. In high‐fat‐diet‐induced, severely obese mice, phytol‐enriched diet increases...
The number of patients with non-tuberculous mycobacterial lung disease (NTM-LD) worldwide has been increasing. Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC-LD) accounts for 90% NTM-LD. MAC-LD necessitates long-term treatment, but adverse reactions administration drugs are poorly understood. To evaluate MAC-LD.We conducted a retrospective single-centre medical chart review 364 administered two or more between July 2010 and June 2015.The prevalence median time to onset were as follows: hepatotoxicity...
This study sought to compare the procedural outcomes of percutaneous coronary intervention for chronic total occlusion between periods before and after introduction 3-dimensional (3D) wiring. Previously, we reported a 3D wiring method by which operator can construct real-time mental images from 2 perpendicular angles X-ray system monitor during occlusion. A 137 lesions that could not be passed tapered soft wires in our hospital 2012 2017 were retrospectively enrolled study. Overall success...
To perform intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-based real-time 3-dimensional wiring in chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention, we devised a tip detection method and developed AnteOwl WR (AO)-IVUS, which is an upgraded version of Navifocus (Navi)-IVUS with added pull back transducer system. We compared the procedural outcomes AO-IVUS-based using (n = 30) Navi-IVUS-based conventional 17) intervention. The success rate IVUS-guided was markedly improved AO-IVUS group Navi-IVUS...
An immunoperoxidase technique for light microscopy was carried out in 16 patients with idiopathic membranous nephropathy order to determine the role of complement system glomeruli. Although C3 deposits are found 50% cases, C3d identified all cases association IgG deposits. This suggests that degraded and dissociated from immune complexes. Patients glomerular showed more proteinuria than those without The presence indicates importance human nephropathy.
This is the first report of primary glomerular disease with both mesangial IgA and subepithelial IgG deposits in glomeruli at same time. nephropathy, discovered 3 patients, either a new entity or an overlapping nephropathy membranous nephropathy. Follow-up studies may clarify pathogenesis and/or In 1 patient clinical findings resembled those other 2 they were Light microscopy showed generalized diffuse increases cells matrix, there was slight capillary wall thickening. glomeruli,...
We performed microscopic examination of the debris collected by a distal protection device and investigated usefulness grayscale integrated backscatter intravascular ultrasound (IB-IVUS) for prediction embolization during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in cases unstable angina. The PCI has not been studied depth because assessment is difficult. We prospectively 39 consecutive patients with angina who underwent filter device. The preprocedural plaque volume at target lesions was...
Casimiroa edulis is known as cochitzapotl, and it belongs to a species of tropical fruiting tree in the family Rutaceae, native eastern Mexico Central America south Costa Rica. In this study, we isolated two furocoumarins polymethoxyflavones from leaves C. evaluated functions glucose lipid metabolism activity with 3T3-L1 adipocytes. We discovered that addition increased uptake accumulation adipocyte. These results suggest furocoumarin compounds can be used functional food-derived compounds,...

Abstract Pd(PPh 3 ) 4 ‐catalyzed intramolecular selenocarbamoylation of allenes led to the regioselective formation α,β‐unsaturated five‐ and six‐membered lactams having an allyl selenide unit. This procedure could be applied synthesis corresponding sulfur analogue by thiocarbamoylation as well a cyclopentenone. (© Wiley‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, 69451 Weinheim, Germany, 2009)
In order to investigate the relationship between intraglomerular coagulation and glomerular sclerosis, distribution of fibrin-related antigen (FRA) in glomeruli without extracapillary lesions was examined by immunoperoxidase microscopy 80 patients with IgA nephropathy (IgA-N). A total 302 were examined, including 20 global 31 segmental sclerosis (SS glomeruli), 251 nonsclerosed glomeruli. nonsclerotic areas SS glomeruli, deposition FRA significantly greater than mainly found mesangium, while...
Background: Low-dose dobutamine stress echocardiography (DSE) assesses myocardial viability at the early stage of acute infarction (AMI), but its assessment is subjective and variable. Automated function image (AFI) determines global longitudinal peak strain (GLPS) based on tissue tracking technique. The ability GLPS obtained by AFI during to assess after AMI was investigated. Methods Results: DSE day 3 in 23 consecutive patients with performed using Vivid 7 (GE Healthcare). Segmental...
