The aim of the present study was to characterize physical, biochemical and antioxidant properties Algerian honey samples (n = 4). Physical parameters, such as pH, moisture content, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), color intensity, sugar sucrose content were measured. Several tests performed determine samples. mean pH 3.84 ± 0.01, 13.21 0.16%. EC 0.636 0.001, TDS 316.92 0.92. 120.58 0.64 mm Pfund, 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) 21.49 mg/kg. reducing contents 67.03...
Tumor-derived exosomes have emerged as promising cancer biomarkers due to their unique composition and functions. Herein, we report a stripping voltammetric immunoassay for the electrochemical detection of disease-specific using quantum dots signal amplifiers. The assay involves three subsequent steps where bulk exosome populations are initially magnetically captured on magnetic beads by generic tetraspanin antibody (e.g., CD9 or CD63) followed identification cancer-related. Here, used CdSe...
The enzyme-mimicking activity of iron oxide based nanostructures has provided a significant advantage in developing advanced molecular sensors for biomedical and environmental applications. Herein, we introduce the horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-like gold-loaded nanoporous ferric nanocubes (Au–NPFe2O3NC) development sensor with enhanced electrocatalytic colorimetric (naked eye) detection autoantibodies. results showed that Au–NPFe2O3NC exhibits peroxidase-like toward catalytic oxidation...
Abstract Background There is no available information on physicochemical and antioxidant properties Bangladeshi honey. We investigated five different monofloral three multifloral honey samples collected from parts of Bangladesh. Methods The levels phenolics, flavonoids, ascorbic acid, acid equivalent content (AEAC), proline, protein antioxidants were determined in the using ferric reducing power (FRAP) 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assays. Results highest level phenolic was 688.5 ±...
A sensitive and amplification-free assay for the electrochemical detection of exosomal miRNAs in complex biological samples.
Ribonucleic acids (RNAs) are considered as effective and minimally invasive biomarkers for disease diagnosis prognosis due to their critical role in the regulation of different cellular processes. Over past several years, rapid progress RNA biomarker research has resulted development a large number high‐performance RNA‐detection methods. Most these methods based on molecular‐biology techniques such quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR), microarrays,...
Herein, we report the soft-templated preparation of mesoporous iron oxide using an asymmetric poly(styrene-b-acrylic acid-b-ethylene glycol) (PS-b-PAA-b-PEG) triblock copolymer. This polymer forms a micelle consisting PS core, PAA shell, and PEG corona in aqueous solutions, which can serve as soft template. The obtained at optimized calcination temperature 400 °C exhibited average pore diameter 39 nm, with large specific surface area volume 86.9 m2 g–1 0.218 cm3 g–1, respectively....
A nonenzymatic, amplification-free, and sensitive method for microRNA detection is reported using Au@NPFe2O3NC nanocubes.
Abstract Exosomes are cell‐derived vesicles secreted by both normal and cancerous cells into the extracellular matrix in blood circulation. Tumor‐derived exosomes have attracted increasing attention noninvasive cancer diagnosis prognosis. However, their effective capture specific detection pose significant technical challenges. Current methods largely fail to quantify tumor‐derived present total (bulk) exosome population derived from body fluids of patients. In this proof‐of‐concept study,...
Stroke is the third leading cause of death in Bangladesh. The World Health Organization ranks Bangladesh's mortality rate due to stroke as number 84 world. reported prevalence Bangladesh 0·3%, although no data on incidence have been recorded. Hospital-based studies conducted past decades indicated that hypertension main ischaemic and haemorrhagic high disability-adjusted life-years lost (485 per 10 000 people) show severely impacts economy. Although two non-governmental organizations, BRAC...
An electrochemical and colorimetric method for detecting autoantibodies using gold-loaded nanoporous Fe2O3nanocubes as capture agents is reported the first time.
Abstract We report the electrocatalytic activity of a new class superparamagnetic nanoparticles, graphene‐oxide‐loaded iron oxide (GO/IO hybrid material), towards reduction ruthenium hexaammine(III) chloride (Ru(NH 3 ) 6 ] 3+ , RuHex). Leveraging GO/IO material and signal enhancement capacity [Ru(NH /[Fe(CN) 3− in an cycle, ultrasensitive specific electrochemical sensor was developed for detection cancer‐related microRNA (miRNA). Using direct affinity interaction between RNA graphene oxide,...
A naked-eye, colorimetric and electrochemical detection of HOTAIR long non-coding RNA has been demonstrated.
Despite the excellent diagnostic applications of current conventional immunoassay methods such as ELISA, immunostaining and Western blot for FAM134B detection, they are laborious, expensive required a long turnaround time. Here, we report an electrochemical approach rapid, sensitive, specific detection protein in biological (colon cancer cell extracts) clinical (serum) samples. The utilises differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) presence [Fe(CN)6]3-/4- redox system to quantify two-step...
Linear mixed models are commonly used in healthcare-based association analyses for analyzing multi-site data with heterogeneous site-specific random effects. Due to regulations protecting patients' privacy, sensitive individual patient (IPD) typically cannot be shared across sites. We propose an algorithm fitting distributed linear (DLMMs) without sharing IPD This achieves results identical those achieved using pooled from multiple sites (i.e., the same effect size and standard error...
