Abstract Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the world’s third leading cause of cancer-related death; due to fast growth and high prevalence tumor recurrence, prognosis HCC patients remains dismal. Long non-coding RNA CEBPA-DT, a divergent transcript CCAAT Enhancer Binding Protein Alpha (CEBPA) gene, has been shown participate in multiple progression. However, no research established its cancer-promoting mechanism yet. Methods CEBPA-DT was identified human tissues through...

ABSTRACT Invasive candidiasis is a fungal infection caused by various pathogenic yeasts, with Candida albicans as the predominant pathogen. Traditional culturing and identification methods for C. are slow, requiring several days to weeks produce results, which hampers rapid diagnosis. In this study, we proposed three amplification combine CRISPR/Cas12a selected enzymatic recombinase (ERA) two-step method detection of in terms sensitivity, then was optimized temperature-controlled one-step...

Male-sterile mutants are useful materials to study the anther and pollen development. Here, whole transcriptome sequencing was performed for inflorescences in three sterile lines of Chinese cabbage (Brassica campestris L. ssp. chinensis Makino, syn. B. rapa chinensis), genic male-sterile line (A line), Polima cytoplasmic (CMS) (P Ogura CMS (O line) along with their maintainer (B line). In total, 7,136 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), 361 long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) (DELs), 56...

Abstract Background Genome-wide change of polyadenylation (polyA) sites (also known as alternative polyadenylation, APA) is emerging an important strategy gene regulation in response to stress plants. But little woody perennials that are persistently dealing with multiple abiotic stresses. Results Here, we performed a genome-wide profiling under heat and cold treatments Populus trichocarpa . Through comprehensive analysis polyA tail sequences, identified 25,919 polyA-site clusters (PACs),...

Direct single-molecule sequencing of full-length transcripts allows efficient identification gene isoforms, which is apt to alternative splicing (AS), polyadenylation, and long non-coding RNA analyses. However, the isoforms RNAs with novel regulatory functions remains challenging, especially for species without a reference genome. Here, we present comprehensive analysis combined long-read short-read transcriptome in Camellia japonica. Through bioinformatic pipeline reverse-tracing...

Fruit patterning involves the cooperation of multiple processes, including metabolic change, cell differentiation, and expansion. The FRUITFUL (FUL) SHATTERPROOF1/2 (SHPs) MADS-box genes are master regulators directing fruit in several eudicots. However, regulatory mechanisms FUL-SHP network different types remain unclear. Here, we characterized functions an ortholog (CjPLE) SHPs from Camellia japonica. We showed that CjPLE was predominantly expressed stamen carpel tissues during early stage...

Camellia vietnamensis is an economic woody plant producing high-value edible oils, which commonly found and cultivated in south areas of China. To provide genetic information for future research, we have sequenced assembled the complete chloroplast (cp) genome C. based on Illumina Hiseq platform. The total size 161,958 bp length with 37% GC, contains a large single copy (LSC, 86,657 bp) region, small (SSC, 13,347 pair inverted repeat (IRs, 30,977 regions. It comprised 81 protein-coding...
