Significance Although error rates in protein translation, particularly under stress, are high, it is not known if these errors inherent to the system, or they may have an adaptive function. Here, we provide evidence that specific mistranslation of mycobacterial proteins important for phenotypic resistance antibiotic rifampicin. This raises possibility translation play a role adapting stress through increasing proteomic diversity.

CD19-targeted chimeric antigen receptor-T (CAR-T) cells with CD28 or 4-1BB (28z CAR-T and BBz CAR-T) have shown great promise to treat relapsed refractory (r/r) B cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (B-NHL). However, comparison of their clinical outcomes has never been reported. This study investigated efficacy adverse events in B-NHL therapy. Six patients r/r were initially enrolled infused 28z at a dose 0.75-5 × 105/kg. These showed similar antitumor efficacies, complete response (CR) rate 67%...

Diiron dithiolate complexes have received special attention because of their structural similarity to the active site [FeFe]-hydrogenases, which are most efficient and fastest catalysts for generation dihydrogen in nature. Recently, we established a novel way prepare phosphine-substituted diiron aza- oxadithiolate complexes. Reaction Fe2(μ-SCH2OH)2(CO)6 several phosphine ligands L (L = PPh3, PPh2(2-C5H4N), P(C6H4-4-CH3)3) affords intermediate Fe2(μ-SCH2OH)2(CO)5L, while situ reacts with...

Abstract Dual-specificity phosphatase 6 (DUSP6) serves a specific and conserved function on the dephosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 (ERK1/2). We previously identified Dusp6 as regenerative repressor during zebrafish heart regeneration, therefore we propose to investigate role this in mammalian cardiac repair. Utilizing rat strain harboring nonsense mutation, neutrophil-cardiomyocyte co-culture, bone marrow transplanted rats neutrophil-specific knockout mice, find...

In this study, we evaluated effect enhanced activity or expression ALDH2 on post-cardiac survival in a rat cardiac model. Furthermore, elucidated underlying...
