Introduction: Because of the increasing use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), thoracic soft disc herniations are being easily detected in early stages. To avoid a high morbidity rate and other complications that associated with conventional approach, authors have applied percutaneous endoscopic technique.
A new technique, which requires a simple surgical gastrostomy without general anesthesia, is described for placement of covered expandable metallic stents. This technique was performed successfully in patient with malignant obstruction the gastric antrum, obviating palliative resection.
We hypothesize that dysregulation of the epithelial sodium channel (ENaC) may be responsible for increased retention in liver cirrhosis. Liver cirrhosis was induced by common bile duct ligation (CBDL). examined abundance ENaC subunits and type 2 isoform 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11βHSD2) kidney immunoblotting immunohistochemistry at 6 or 8 weeks after operation. At weeks, cirrhotic rats had developed ascites displayed a positive balance. The urinary excretion fractional were...
The present study was to investigate a role for endothelium-derived nitric oxide (EDNO) system in the development and maintenance of 2-kidney, 1 clip (2K1C) hypertension. Effects blocking synthesis or supplementing precursor EDNO on developmental phase hypertension were examined 2K1C rats. Responses isolated vasculature phenylephrine, acetylcholine, sodium nitroprusside, atrial natriuretic peptide also chronic Ingestion NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester L-arginine did not affect Contraction...
Peri-implantitis is an inflammatory lesion leading to bone destruction resulting from bacterial infection and biofilm formation. Treatments of peri-implantitis aim at controls decontamination promote re-osseointegration. The present study aimed assess the osseointegration titanium discs in a rabbit tibia model. Discs were immersed culture medium inoculated with Staphylococcus aureus incubated 37 °C for 24 h allocated different treatments (n = five per group). methods air-polishing system,...
A long-term effect of pentobarbital treatment on the storage and release atrial natriuretic peptide (ANP) was investigated in rats. The experimental group treated with (50 mg/kg, ip), control injected vehicle only. They were used one week after treatment. Male female rats separately to see if there exists a sex difference response pentobarbital. In male rats, plasma ANP measured conscious state significantly higher than control. content as well number specific granules tissue lower group....
Duration of administration related medications, presence bacterial infections in necrotic areas, and methods treatment have been suggested as factors to the recurrence MRONJ. The purpose this study was investigate risk patients who had undergone surgical treatment. rate statistically significant when teeth affected by alveolar bone necrosis were removed together. When comparing received post-operative antibiotic treatment, significantly reduced. Comprehensive approaches, including extraction...
Flow abnormalities which occur in AF patient due to irregular heart rate resultant turbulent flow both left atrium and systemically may lead endothelial dysfunction. The purpose is detect dysfunction non rheumatic patient. And test the hypothesis that reversible upon restoration of normal sinus rhythm correction blood dynamics. Endothelium-dependent (flow-mediated dilation) vasodilator function brachial artery was measured using high resolution ultrasound 30 patients with persistent who were...
The present study was aimed to investigate the regulatory mechanisms of BNP release. Effects acute and chronic perturbations in body fluid balance, changes BP, roles NO endothelin systems on release were examined rats. Although extracellular volume expansion did not have significant effects plasma BNP, prolonged high-salt intake increased levels. Plasma levels also higher 2K1C rats compared with control. infusion L-NAME control, it further affect intake. L-arginine (20 mg.kg-1 per min) se...
