Both saponin and muramyl dipeptide (MDP) formulated with a squalane-in-water emulsion of large particle size prepared vortex mixer were superior to Al(OH)3 as adjuvants for HIV gp120 in mice. All the induced IgG1 antibody, but elicited highest titers IgG2a. The secretion interleukin-5 (IL-5) interferonγ (IFNγ) by lymph node cells cultured vitro was studied. cultures secreted IL-5, only those from saponin-immunized mice produced IFNγ, suggesting that is capable activating both Th1 TH2 T-cell...

Using flow cytometry and fluorescence polarization analysis, specific muramyl peptide‐binding sites were shown to be located inside T‐lymphocytes, macrophages neuroblastoma cells, but not B‐cells. No binding found on the cell surface. The number of for each type was determined. Two types observed myelomonocytic WEH1‐3 cells with K fd values 21 540 nM. Inhibition analysis demonstrated that effective binding, an intact glycopeptide molecule D‐configuration isoglutamine residue are important.

Summary Aspergillus fumigatus, a ubiquitous fungus, is implicated in the pathogenesis of number clinically different allergic diseases man, including broncopulmonary aspergillosis. Peptide-based immunotherapy may offer an alternative treatment strategy for management disease. The objective this study was to alter allergen-specific immune response using dominant T cell epitopes major A. fumigatus allergen, Asp f2, expressed yeast as virus-like particles (VLP). recognized mice with H-2d...

Disaccharide containing unit of peptidoglycan from bacterial cell wall, N-acetyl-d-glucosaminyl-N-acetylmuramyl-l-alanyl-d-glutaminamide (gluсosaminyl-muramyl-dipeptide) registered in Russia as an immunomodulatory drug, is shown to participate slow equilibrium α and β anomeric forms. Data NMR spectra molecular dynamics indicate that the α-anomer predominantly acquires a folded conformation stabilized by intramolecular hydrogen bond between alanyl carbonyl muramyl NH proton. The β-form...
