The neural mechanisms that support naturalistic learning via effective pedagogical approaches remain elusive. Here we used functional near-infrared spectroscopy to measure brain activity from instructor-learner dyads simultaneously during dynamic conceptual learning. Results revealed brain-to-brain coupling was correlated with outcomes, and, crucially, appeared be driven by specific scaffolding behaviors on the part of instructors (e.g., asking guiding questions or providing hints)....

Social interactive learning denotes the ability to acquire new information from a conspecific-a prerequisite for cultural evolution and survival. As inspired by recent neurophysiological research, here we tested whether social can be augmented exogenously synchronizing oscillatory brain activity across an instructor learner engaged in naturalistic song-learning task. We used dual stimulation protocol entailing trans-cranial delivery of synchronized electric currents two individuals...

Incorporating programmable logic devices (PLD) in digital design courses has become increasingly popular. The advantages of using PLDs, such as complex (CPLDs) and field gate arrays (FPGA), have been discussed before. However, previous studies focused on the experiences from point view instructor, with some general impressions students. This paper instead focuses students' view, most importantly, investigates whether use helped facilitate learning process. investigation was based results a...

This paper introduces an accumulative prediction method to predict the eye diagram for high speed signaling systems. We use step responses of pull-up and pull-down extract worst-case diagram, including height jitter. Furthermore, produces input patterns intersymbol interference. The algorithm handles signals either symmetric or asymmetric rise/fall time. Experimental results demonstrate accuracy efficiency proposed method.

In this article, a novel planar InAs/GaSb heterojunction face-tunneling FET (HFTFET) is proposed for device performance improvement. As known in previous studies, the entire tunneling junction of HFTFET can be controlled by gate effectively and uniformly, therefore, large effective area extremely steep turn on/off switch would achieved. However, leakage current between source drain degrades OFF-state characteristics greatly. Hence, an implanted introduced reducing to optimize performance,...

Parallel prefix adder is the most flexible and widely-used binary for ASIC designs. Many high-level synthesis techniques have been developed to find optimal structures specific applications. However, gap between these back-end designs increasingly large. In this paper, we propose an integer linear programming method build minimal-power adders within given timing area constraints. Abstract It is widely accepted that nonverbal communication crucial for learning, but the exact functions of interpersonal coordination between instructors and learners remain unclear. Specifically, it unknown what role instructional approaches play in coupling physical motion learners, crucially, how such instruction-mediated Body-to-Body Coupling (BtBC) might affect learning. We used a video-based, computer-vision Motion Energy Analysis (MEA) to quantify BtBC who two different teach...

The dynamics between coupled brains of individuals have been increasingly represented by inter-brain synchronization (IBS) when they coordinate with each other, mostly using simultaneous-recording signals (namely hyperscanning) fNIRS. In fNIRS hyperscanning studies, IBS has commonly assessed through the wavelet transform coherence (WTC) method because its advantage on expanding time series into time-frequency space where oscillations can be seen in a highly intuitive way. observed further...
